Abstract: An example apparatus includes a power monitor, a memory, and a processor. The power monitor is to measure a power level of the apparatus. The memory is to store a power level to temperature increase rate correlation. The processor is in communication with the power monitor and the memory. The processor is to determine that an internal temperature threshold is to be exceeded based on the power level and the power level to temperature increase rate correlation. The processor also is to perform a device operation modification to reduce the power level in response to a determination that the internal temperature threshold is to be exceeded.

The circuit is further to compare the number of overcurrent events to a threshold number and to switch off the power output of the converter when the number of overcurrent events passes the threshold number.

Abstract: In some examples, an electronic device comprises a processor and a power circuit coupled to the processor. The power circuit is to provide power to the processor and to measure a current drawn from the power circuit by the processor. The electronic device also comprises a voltage regulator controller coupled to the processor and the power circuit. The voltage regulator controller is to receive a current usage prediction from the processor, receive the measurement from the power circuit, compare the current usage prediction and the measurement, and, based on the comparison, drive the power circuit in accordance with the measurement instead of the current usage prediction.

Abstract: In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, an electronic device is described. An example electronic device includes a processor, a port to receive a connector of a peripheral device, and a power supply. An example power supply is to supply power to the processor and the peripheral device when connected to the electronic device. The example electronic device also includes an electronic device controller. The electronic device controller is to alter an amount of power from a first value to a second value to supply to the peripheral device based on an amount of power available from the power supply and a lower threshold power level that enables data communication from the peripheral device. The example electronic device also includes a power delivery controller. The power delivery controller is to provide the amount of power having the second value to the peripheral device based on an output from the electronic device controller.
