Abstract: A power control system enables an electrical apparatus to intermittently operate at power levels which exceed an available facility power. The power control system draws a sufficiently high current from a power source (e.g., mains supply) to supply power to components of the apparatus that generate a continuous below-threshold load, while at the same time, supplying a charge current for a battery module. The power control system can operate to use the battery module to supply power to components of the apparatus that draw excess power when the electrical apparatus operates at an above-threshold power level.

Abstract: The technology described herein includes a spreader that creates scattered incidental particles in a build chamber when spreading build material is applied in the build platform. One or more vacuum sources create negative pressure zones in one or more receptacles to collect the incidental particles in the build chamber during printing process and thus minimize the scattering of the incidental particles.

Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a reflector having a parabolic shape, the reflector having a focal point and a plane of symmetry. The apparatus may also include a first energy emitter positioned at or near the focal point of the reflector, in which the reflector may reflect energy emitted from the first energy emitter in a first direction to a target area. The apparatus may further include a baffle extending along the plane of symmetry of the reflector, in which the baffle may absorb reflected energy directed to the baffle from the target area.

Abstract: In one example, a reflector assembly includes a single reflector having at least two elliptical-shaped reflector cavities each with a respective focus point. The shape of the single reflector includes two partial elliptical-shaped reflector cavities having mirror-asymmetric profiles on each end of the single reflector each having a first side extending to a distal end and the first side longer than an opposite second side. The remaining elliptical-shaped reflector cavities have a first side and a second side the same length as the opposite second sides of the two partial elliptical-shaped reflector cavities.
