Abstract: [Object] It is an object of the present invention to provide an organic EL device in which various materials for an organic EL device, which is excellent in hole/electron injection/transport performance, electron blocking performance, stability in a thin film state, and durability, are combined as materials for an organic EL device that has high light emission efficiency and high durability so that properties of each of the materials can be effectively expressed, thereby achieving (1) high light emission efficiency and power efficiency, (2) a low light emission start voltage, (3) a low practical driving voltage, and particularly (4) a long lifetime.[Solving Means] There is provided an organic electroluminescence device, including at least an anode, a hole transport layer, a light-emitting layer, an electron transport layer, and a cathode in the stated order, the organic electroluminescence device being characterized in that the hole transport layer contains an arylamine compound represented by the following general formula (1), and the light-emitting layer contains a heterocyclic compound having a fused ring structure represented by the following general formula (2) or a heterocyclic compound having a fused ring structure represented by the following general formula (3).

Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided an organic electroluminescent device which has an anode, a hole transport layer, a luminous layer, an electron transport layer, and a cathode arranged in order of description. The device is characterized in that: the hole transport layer includes a specific arylamine compound, and that the luminous layer includes a specific indenoindole derivative or a specific carbazole derivative. The organic EL device of the present invention has improved efficiency of hole transport from the hole transport layer to the luminous layer and also improved efficiency of electron transport from the electron transport layer to the luminous layer, in comparison to conventional organic EL devices.

Abstract: The present invention provides an organic electroluminescent device having at least an anode, a hole transport layer, a luminous layer, an electron transport layer, and a cathode in this order, wherein the hole transport layer contains an arylamine compound having a specific structure, and the luminous layer contains an indenoindole derivative or a carbazole derivative having a specific structure. The organic EL device of the present invention is an organic EL device improved in luminous efficiency, driving voltage and durability.

Abstract: An objective of the invention is to provide an organic EL device that combines various materials of the device and a capping layer composed from a material that absorbs sunlight within the wavelength range of 400 nm to 410 nm to prevent impact on materials inside the organic EL device, has a high light absorption coefficient and a high refractive index to significantly improve light extraction efficiency, has excellent stability, durability and light resistance in a thin film, and has no absorption within the wavelength ranges of blue, green and red, to thereby effectively achieve the characteristics of the various materials of the device. The invention is an arylamine compound having a benzazole structure, and is also an organic EL device including a capping layer containing the arylamine compound and a light-emitting layer containing a host and a phosphorescent dopant.

Focusing on the finding that a triarylamine compound having a specific structure is excellent in hole injecting/transporting capability, stability in the form of a thin film, and durability, a specific arylamine compound was selected and used as a material for a hole-transporting layer to produce an organic EL element, and thus, the present invention has been accomplished.
