Abstract: A vehicle control system includes: a travel control unit configured to switch a driving mode of a vehicle; a traveling state detecting unit configured to detect a traveling state of the vehicle; a generating unit configured to generate at least one turning line; an external environment recognizing device configured to detect a state of an external environment of the vehicle; a setting unit configured to set a traveling area in front of the vehicle in a traveling direction thereof; and a determining unit configured to determine whether the turning line is located in the traveling area. In a case where the determining unit determines that the turning line is not located in the traveling area while a manual driving mode is selected, the travel control unit switches the driving mode of the vehicle from the manual driving mode to an autonomous driving mode.

Abstract: A first possible space, for which a lane change of the vehicle is possible, is specified from an inter-vehicle distance between the preceding other vehicle and the nearby vehicle, a speed of the preceding other vehicle, and a speed of the nearby vehicle. A second possible space, for which the lane change of the vehicle is possible, is specified from an inter-vehicle distance between the nearby vehicle and the following other vehicle, the speed of the nearby vehicle, and a speed of the following other vehicle. The control unit controls the traveling of the vehicle to make the lane change to the adjacent lane based on a result of the evaluation of the first possible space and the second possible space.

Abstract: A lane departure prevention assist system for a vehicle includes: a tilt angle control unit configured to control a tilt angle of a seat surface with respect to a lateral direction by driving a tilt angle changing device; a lane detection unit configured to detect a lane on a road; and a vehicle position estimation unit configured to estimate a lateral position of the vehicle in the lane. The tilt angle control unit is configured to increase the tilt angle of the seat surface with respect to the lateral direction such that, as the vehicle approaches one lateral end of an own lane, a height of the seat surface on a side near the one lateral end of the own lane becomes greater than the height of the seat surface on a side remote from the one lateral end of the own lane.
