    Abstract: Devices, methods, systems, and computer-readable media for a dual wavelength source gas sensor are described herein. One or more embodiments include a gas sensor, comprising: a dual wavelength source to transmit a first wavelength and a second wavelength via an optical path, wherein a gas is present through the optical path, a detector to receive the first wavelength and the second wavelength via the optical path, and a computing device coupled to the detector to determine an determine a signal intensity for the first wavelength and the second wavelength.

    Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to height-differentiated gas detection sensors attached to one or more tethers suspended from an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) platform. In an illustrative example, each of the gas sensors, for example, may communicate gas detection signal information to a signal processing module onboard the UAV platform. Each of the tethers, for example, may provide a data channel from the sensor to the signal processing module. Some tethers, for example, may supply operating power to one or more of the gas detection sensors. The UAV platform may advantageously deploy one or more low-cost, disposable, tethered gas detection sensors into vertically confined spaces (e.g., chimneys, vents), or along a length of pipeline, for example. The sensors may be deployed at a minimum predetermined height providing separation from the UAV to attenuate prop-wash with respect to the sensors.

    Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to electromagnetic radiation detector devices, systems, and methods using a planar Golay cell. A method for gas detection may comprise providing a gas sealed in a cavity of a gas detector; directing radiative power from a light source through one or more target gases and through a cell body of the gas detector toward the cavity and a wavelength selective absorber of the gas detector, wherein the one or more target gases are located between the light source and the cavity; setting wavelength sensitivity with the wavelength selective absorber, wherein the wavelength sensitivity is irrespective of an angle of incidence (?); absorbing the radiative power by the wavelength selective absorber and by the one or more target gases; detecting, by a pressure sensing element, a pressure change caused by the absorbing of the radiative power; and determining the one or more target gases based on the detected pressure change.

The first gas sensor is configured to measure a first gas and the second gas sensor is configured to measure a second gas. The first gas is different from the second gas. The first gas sensor is an optical sensor and defines an optical cavity. The second gas sensor is disposed within the optical cavity of the first gas sensor.
