Abstract: An association establishment method and apparatus, for carrying out the method are described. The association establishment method includes broadcasting, by an access point (AP), a trigger frame, wherein the trigger frame is used to trigger one or more unassociated stations STAs to perform uplink data transmission and indicate one or more available subchannels for random accessing of the unassociated STAs. The method further includes receiving, by the AP, one or more association request messages sent on available subchannels acquired by the unassociated STAs. Thereafter, the AP broadcasts a multi-block acknowledgement M-BA frame, wherein the M-BA frame includes one or more pieces of association acknowledgement information and the association acknowledgement information is acknowledgement information of the association request message.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application describe a communication method, a first station (STA), a second STA, and an access point (AP). The method includes: determining, by a first STA, a first basic service set (BSS) color; generating, by the first STA, a data frame when the first station STA and a second STA perform D2D transmission, where the data frame includes the first BSS color; and sending, by the first STA, the data frame to the second STA. The first BSS color is carried in the D2D data frame, so that when receiving the data frame, another receiving station in a BSS to which the first STA and the second STA belong can determine that the frame is a frame from a neighboring cell.

One example method includes: setting, by a first station (STA), a basic service set (BSS) color to be used by a second STA in a device-to-device (D2D) transmission with the first STA, wherein the first STA sets the BSS color to be a first color that is preconfigured for D2D transmission, wherein the first color is different from a second color allocated by an access point (AP) associated with the first STA for transmission with the AP, and wherein the first color is used for D2D transmissions between the first STA and other STAs in addition to the first color being used for D2D transmission between the first STA and the second STA; generating, by the first STA, a data frame that comprises the BSS color that is the first color; and sending, by the first STA, the data frame to the second STA in the D2D transmission.

Abstract: This application provides a method for transmitting a wake-up packet in a communications system and a device. The communications system includes a transmit end device and a receive end device. The receive end device includes a wake-up receiver and a main transceiver. The method includes: sending, by the transmit end device, a first wake-up packet WUP to the wake-up receiver by using a first data rate; determining, by the transmit end device, a second data rate; and sending, by the transmit end device, a second WUP to the wake-up receiver by using the second data rate. The transmit end device can determine a proper data rate for sending a wake-up packet based on a specific transmission condition in a communication process, thereby improving transmission efficiency of the wake-up packet.
