Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a group-based calibration method and device. The method includes: A control device that obtains path loss data of a wireless access point AP set, where the AP set includes a plurality of APs, and the path loss data includes a path loss between any two of the plurality of APs. The control device obtains a first calibration group based on the path loss data, and sends first calibration information to a management AP of the first calibration group, where the management AP of the first calibration group is an AP that performs calibration management in the first calibration group. By implementing the foregoing method, the control device may divide a plurality of APs into a plurality of calibration groups based on path loss data between the APs, to decrease a coupling degree between the calibration groups.

Abstract: This application discloses a roaming steering method, an apparatus, a device, a storage medium, and a system. In this application, a reference roaming steering condition is determined by an access control device by performing, for a plurality of times, a roaming steering test on one or more terminals belonging to a reference model, and the reference model is a model of a target terminal. Therefore, the reference roaming steering condition is similar to a roaming rule in the target terminal. In this case, when a first access point device obtains the reference roaming steering condition and determines that the target terminal satisfies the reference roaming steering condition, even if the target terminal does not unconditionally obey roaming steering of the first access point device, there is a high probability that the target terminal is successfully steered to roam.

Abstract: This application discloses a terminal roaming method and apparatus. A terminal sends, to a first AP associated with the terminal, an action frame that is used to request to associate with a second AP. A receiver address of the action frame is an address of the first AP, and the action frame further includes an identifier of the second AP. When the terminal receives a response frame sent by the first AP for the action frame, and the response frame indicates that association succeeds, the terminal establishes association with the second AP. The terminal first establishes the association with the second AP by using the first AP, and then changes an operating channel to an operating channel of the second AP. Now the terminal can receive and send data on the operating channel of the second AP.

Abstract: Example methods, apparatuses, and systems for transmitting data in a wireless local area network mesh network are described herein. One example method includes receiving, by a first mesh station, a first data frame sent by a second mesh station, where a transmitter address of the first data frame is a MAC address of the second mesh station, and wherein the first and second mesh stations belong to different mesh gates. The first mesh station determines that the first data frame is one of a broadcast data frame, a multicast data frame, or an unknown unicast data frame and, further, that the first mesh station and the second mesh station belong to different mesh gates. In response to these determinations, the first data frame is discarded. The examples methods can be applied to a wireless mesh network including multiple mesh gates.
