摘要: The present disclosure relates to communication methods, apparatus, and systems. In one example method, a first apparatus determines a first status protocol data unit (PDU), where the first status PDU is used to indicate a receiving status of at least one data PDU from a second apparatus, and the at least one data PDU is transmitted by the second apparatus in a multicast mode. The first apparatus sends the first status PDU to the second apparatus.

摘要: This application provides a fake network device identification method and a communications apparatus. An uplink message sent by a terminal device is forwarded to a first network device via a second network device. After receiving the uplink message, the first network device generates a downlink message for the uplink message, performs security processing on the downlink message based on first time information, and/or sends the downlink message to the second network device. The second network device sends, to the terminal device, the downlink message on which the security processing is performed. The terminal device performs security verification on the received downlink message, and/or identifies whether the second network device is a fake network device. This helps improve communication security.

摘要: A data transmission method includes: receiving, by a receive end, a Radio Link Control protocol data unit (RLC PDU); determining, by the receive end, whether the RLC PDU includes a complete service data unit (SDU) or an SDU segment, where the RLC PDU is transmitted in unacknowledged mode (UM); and transmitting, by the receive end to a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer based on a result of the determining, the complete SDU or a complete SDU assembled by using the SDU segment. The data transmission method implements data transmission in UM at an RLC layer in 5G.

摘要: Embodiments of this application disclose a random access method and apparatus. In one example method, when a terminal device supports positioning, the terminal device may adjust, based on a positioning capability, time for sending a preamble on a RACH Occasion (RO) resource. When the terminal device does not support positioning, a corresponding RO resource periodicity may be configured to be large. Therefore, regardless of whether the terminal device supports positioning, a network device can receive, at the same time or in a short preamble receiving time window, preambles sent on a same RO resource, and receive, at different time, in different small time ranges, or in different short preamble receiving time windows, preambles sent on different RO resources.

摘要: A communications method and apparatus that relate to the field of communications technologies, to resolve a problem that a terminal frequently performs TAU because a TAU mechanism of a conventional cellular network is directly used in a non-terrestrial network, thereby increasing energy consumption of the terminal. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, tracking area information from an access network device, and determining, based on a second tracking area identity, whether to perform the TAU. The tracking area information includes a first tracking area identity and a second tracking area identity, where the first tracking area identity is a tracking area identity of a first cell, and the second tracking area identity is used by the terminal device to perform the tracking area update TAU. The method is used in a location management process of the terminal.
