Abstract: A vehicle temperature control system includes: an air conditioning unit configured to cool and heat an interior of a vehicle; a first thermoelectric module mounted in a steering wheel of the vehicle and configured to be selectively heated or cooled; a second thermoelectric module mounted in a seat of the vehicle and configured to be selectively heated or cooled; and an integrated control unit configured to integrally control the air conditioning unit, the first thermoelectric module, and the second thermoelectric module, thereby obtaining an advantageous effect of improving temperature control efficiency and energy efficiency.

Abstract: A vehicle thermal management system, may include an HVAC subsystem including a first compressor and a first refrigeration cycle including a first refrigerant loop fluidly connected to the first compressor; a battery cooling subsystem including a battery coolant loop fluidly connected to a battery pack; a powertrain cooling subsystem including a powertrain coolant loop fluidly connected to a powertrain component; a second refrigeration cycle including a second compressor, a condenser located on the downstream side of the second compressor, and a second refrigerant loop fluidly connected to the condenser; a refrigerant chiller mounted between the first refrigeration cycle and the second refrigeration cycle and configured to transfer heat between the first refrigeration cycle and the second refrigeration cycle; and a battery chiller mounted between the second refrigeration cycle and the battery coolant loop and configured to transfer heat between the second refrigeration cycle and the battery coolant loop. The condenser of the second refrigeration cycle is thermally connected to at least one of the battery coolant loop and the powertrain coolant loop.

Abstract: A vehicle HVAC system includes: a casing to direct air from outdoors into the interior of a passenger compartment, an air blower blowing the air into the casing, an evaporator disposed in the casing, a heater core disposed downstream of the evaporator, and front and rear seat side temperature doors disposed between the evaporator and the heater core. A method for controlling the HVAC system includes: determining, by a controller, whether a required temperature for cooling rear seats is set to be lower than a required temperature for cooling front seats after an outdoor condition of a vehicle meets a reference high temperature condition; and lowering, by the controller, a target temperature of the evaporator based on the set required temperature for cooling the rear seats when the required temperature for cooling the rear seats is set to be lower than the required temperature for cooling the front seats.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a heat pump system for a vehicle having a battery module and an electric module. The heat pump system includes: a first cooling line connected to the battery module and having a coolant flowing therein; a chiller disposed on the first cooling line and connected to a refrigerant line of an air conditioning system through a connection line, and exchanging heat between a coolant selectively introduced therein and a refrigerant to control a temperature of the coolant; a cooling system including a radiator connected to a cooling line and a first pump circulating the coolant along the second cooling line so as to cool an electric module, and connected to the first cooling line through a first valve; and a bypass line selectively connecting the connection line and the refrigerant line to each other through a second valve provided on the refrigerant line.

Abstract: A method for controlling heating of a vehicle thermal management system including an HVAC subsystem may include: determining, by a controller, a target temperature for heating a passenger compartment of a vehicle when the HVAC subsystem operates in heating mode; determining, by the controller, whether an internal temperature of the passenger compartment is lower than the target temperature; adjusting, by the controller, an opening amount of a heating-side expansion valve of the HVAC subsystem to a first opening amount and opening the heating-side expansion valve when the internal temperature is lower than the desired target temperature; and decreasing, by the controller, RPM of a compressor of the HVAC subsystem when the internal temperature is higher than or equal to the desired target temperature. The first opening amount is an opening amount of the heating-side expansion valve with which a heat capacity generated by a heating operation of the HVAC subsystem reaches a maximum heat capacity.
