摘要: Disclosed is a porous membrane consisting of a film-forming polymer characterized in that:(a) in at least one surface thereof, pores extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the membrane surface are present at a surface pore density of 20 to 80%, said pores having an average pore diameter within the range of 0.01 to 100 .mu.m, a ratio of major to minor axis within the range of 1.0 to 2.0, and a coefficient of variation of pore diameter within the range of 0 to 50%; and(b) the overall porosity of said porous membrane is within the range of 20 to 90%.

摘要: Porous membranes are produced by dissolving a film-forming polymer in a good solvent for the polymer, forming a film of the resulting polymer solution, and forcibly contacting saturated steam or mist-containing steam with at least one surface of said film. Such porous membranes have pores having a narrow pore diameter distribution and extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the membrane surface at a high surface pore density on at least one surface thereof.

摘要: The present invention provides fibril system fibers which may be employed in filter applications and in artificial leather applications, and also provides an industrially superior manufacturing method for such fibril system fibers, and a spinning nozzle. The fibril fibers of the present invention include at least one macromolecular polymer having a film forming ability, and they have a structure in which fibrillated fibers having a diameter of 10 micrometers or less branch from main fibers having a width within a range of 0.1 micrometers-500 micrometers, and a length within a range of 10 micrometers-10 cm.

摘要: Disclosed is method for producing a rubber modified thermoplastic reins which comprises carrying out all or a part of the following setps (I) - (VI):(I) a step of mixing the following (A), (B), (C) and thermoplastic resin (2):(A) a latex of graft rubber polymer (1),(B) an organic agent which is capable of dissolving thermoplastic resin (2) and has a solubility in water of 5% by weight or less at a temperature at which (A), (B), (C) and thermoplastic resin (2) are mixed, amount of the organic agent being 10-600% by weight of polymer (4) which is the sum of graft rubber polymer (1) and thermoplastic resin (2) and(C) a water soluble agent capable of coagulating latex (A), amount of this agent being 10% by weight or less of graft rubber polymer (1),(II) a step of separating and removing aqueous phase from a two-phase mixture obtained in the mixing step (I),(III) a step of mixing the mixture from which the aqueous phase has been removed at step (II) and the whole or a part of thermoplastic resin (3),(IV) a step of removing a part or the whole of organic agent (B) and remaining water from the mixture obtained at step (III) by a thermal means,(V) a step of mixing the remainder of thermoplastic resin (3) in case a part of thermoplastic resin (3) has been mixed at step (III), and(VI) a step of removing the remainder of organic agent (B) in case only a part of organic agent (B) has been removed at step (IV).

A binderless cellulosic nonwoven fabric is placed in a mold and compressed under a pressure of 1100 to 1500 kg/cm.sup.2, preferably 1200 to 1300 kg/cm.sup.2. The molding so produced will recover to original form when water is added to it.

摘要: A porous water-treating material comprising cut porous strands each comprising a resinous matrix material which consists essentially of a thermoplastic polymer material or a mixture thereof with an inorganic particulate material. Each strand having a number of pores connected to each other and an irregularly rugged peripheral surface which has a ratio in diameter of a circumscribed circle to an inscribed circle in any cross-sectional profile from 1.10:1 to 5.00:1 and a ratio of the distance between circumscribed lines to that between inscribed lines in any side projection profile of from 1.10:1 to 3.00:1. The cut porous strands are prepared by melt-extruding a resinous mixture of the resinous matrix material with a blowing agent at a temperature higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic polymer material and the thermally decomposing point of the blowing material so as to cause the strands to have a number of pores and an irregularly rugged peripheral surface thereof.
