For enabling alteration of the crosswire pitches a mechanism (2, 3, 21, 23) is provided by which the crosswire transfer tools (4, 5) can, during the motion of the transfer tools, be adjusted on the common bearer (1) in opposite senses by equal amounts (x) in the direction of the longitudinal members (L), so that their lengths of stroke (H.+-.x) are altered in opposite senses with respect to the length of stroke (H) of the bearer (1).

    摘要: The invention relates to electrical multi-spot resistance welding machine for the production of welded bar gratings produced by welding cross-bars into the narrow side of parallel, upright flat bars. Such a machine has a pressure-beam which is guided vertically on a frame for lowering onto and raising away from the bars to be welded. Two rows of electrodes are disposed on the pressure beam, the rows being transverse to the feed path of the flat bars and the electrodes in the two rows being aligned in the feed direction of the flat bars and the electrodes of each aligned pair thus formed are connected to the secondary terminals of opposite polarity of a respective welding transformer. The electrodes are mounted in the pressure beam such that the electrodes of each pair aligned in the feed direction of the flat bars, are at least partially independently slidable vertically within the beam against a biasing force, the pressure beam and the welding transformers being mounted in a single unit for lowering and raising together. Short flexible supply leads connect the electrodes with the transformers.

The grid wires are carried through between rows of cooperating electrodes and, under pressure, are welded together at the cross points of the wires by an electric current. Each cross point of the wires and the surfaces of the associated electrodes of the grid welding machine, which lie in the welding region, are subjected to the action of a liquid coolant to increase the life of the electrodes and reduce distortion of the grid due to the localized heating of the wires.

The apparatus includes a container for the bundle of wire in which there is mounted, adjacent one end, a device for grasping the wires in turn adjacent their ends and moving them transversely to their longitudinal axis against a stop situated to the side of the draw-in region of two conveyor rollers which have a variable spacing between their axes. In order to avoid sliding of the wires against the deflector pins during the bending operation, each bar is hinged to the one ends of at least two parallel bearer arms of equal length and pivotally supported about axes running perpendicular to the plane of bend. During each bending operation only one bar at a time can be displaced transversely by means of the control device to carry out a working stroke.

    摘要: A shearing machine for severing parallel longitudinal members of grids or gratings has a horizontal guide-beam (9) which is stationary during the cut and upon which are provided counterbutts (17) in the manner of comb teeth; and a cutter-beam (10) which is movable parallel to and alongside the guide-beam during the cut and upon which blades (18) are provided in the manner of comb teeth, the blades cooperating with the counterbutts on the guide-beam to shear longitudinal members extending through notches (19,20) formed between adjacent counterbutts of the guide-beam and between adjacent blades of the cutter-beam. The guide-beam and the cutter-beam are guided in a machine frame for vertical movement into and out of a working position in engagement with a grid or grating and are associated for common motion in the vertical direction. Opposite to each of the two end faces of the guide-beam a respective stop-face (13,14) is provided; and opposite to each of the two end faces of the cutter-beam is arranged a respective single-acting fluid pressure-operated cylinder (5,6) which is fixed to the machine frame and has a piston (3,4 ) with a piston rod (15,16) formed at its end a thrust face for the respective end face of the cutter-beam for imparting to the cutter-beam a stroke parallel to the guide-beam and away from that cylinder to which fluid pressure is applied at that time.
