摘要： An oxygen permeable film including an aggregate of water-repellent particles and having an average particle size of the particles of 0.01 to 50 μm has a contact angle with water of not less than 120° and super water repellency, and therefore has an excellent water vapor permeation inhibiting capability. As the particles, fluorocarbon resins such as polytetrafluoroethylene, polyvinyl fluoride and polyvinylidene fluoride are suitable. The specific surface area of the oxygen permeable film is preferably not less than 0.1 m2/g and not more than 500 m2/g.

The zinc or zinc alloy powder has a specific surface area of 0.01 to 10 m2/g, and the weight ratio of the electrolyte to the negative electrode active material is in the range of 0.1 to 2. This invention can provide an alkaline battery that is improved in electrolyte leakage resistance and high-rate discharge characteristics.

摘要： There is provided a thin air battery comprising a power-generating element including air diffusion paper and a water repellent film, the power-generating element sealed in a package composed of first and third sheet layers that cover the air electrode side and negative electrode side of the power-generating element, and a second sheet layer disposed in the peripheral portion between the two sheet layers and joined to the two sheet layers. The sheet layers are each composed of a thin film formed by stacking an alkali resistant polymer film having hydrogen gas permeability and a polymer film having gas barrier properties, and in each of the first and third sheet layers, the polymer film having hydrogen gas permeability is disposed on the internal surface side. According to the present invention, a thin air battery that has high energy density and has excellent long-term reliability is provided.

摘要： A rectangular air battery includes: a first case having a bottom with air holes; a second case; and an insulating gasket with a substantially U-shaped cross-section. The first case and the second case are joined such that the opening of the second case faces the bottom of the first case, and are sealed by crimping the opening edge of the sidewalls of the first case onto the outer face of the second case, with the outer sidewalls of the insulating gasket interposed therebetween. A rib is provided on the bottom of the first case so as to protrude inward inside the first case. The rib extends along the four sidewalls of the first case and supports the inner lower end of the inner sidewalls of the insulating gasket, with at least a separator interposed therebetween.
