    摘要: The invention relates to a contact pressure mechanism for pressing or lifting a web-shaped image receiving material against or off from a drum-shaped image carrier in a toner image transfer station of an electro-photographic recording or copying device comprising a contact pressure rail extending over the width of the image receiving material which can be swiveled in and out via an electro-magnetic actuation device. The image receiving material is thereby situated in positive engagement with transport elements in the form of tractors which are arranged preceding and following the contact pressure rail. The image receiving material is conducted over a length compensating means arranged between a transport element and the contact pressure rail, said length compensation means having a seating surface for the image receiving material, whereby the length compensating means is coupled such to the contact pressure rail that the seating surface thereof executes a motion opposite the pivot motion of the contact pressure rail and thus releases or compensates the length of the image receiving material required or becoming free during the in/out-swivel of the contact pressure rail.

During operation with only a single paper web, the unused tractor drives can be moved to a lateral parking position. The two pairs of tractor drives can be easily moved to match two different webs of paper of different widths. The structure enables a user to adapt the paper conveyor of a transfer printing station to operate with only a single paper web or two parallel webs.

    摘要: An electrophotographic printer has an electro- thermally operating fixing station (23) with a heated fixing roller (86) and a feed roller (87) which can be pivoted between at least one position against the fixing roller and another position away from the fixing roller. With the aid of an unheated, pivoting paper guide saddle (93), the reel paper is guided around the fixing roller (86) at a predeterminable wrapping angle (U) for the purpose of preheating before the actual fixing. In order to fix the printed image on the reel paper (12) in an offset-free and smudge-free manner during the starting and stopping process, the movements of the elements of the fixing station (23) and the transport of the paper are coordinated in such a way that there is no relative movement between the fixing roller (86) and toner image on the reel paper (12) when the reel paper is placed against the fixing roller (86) and when the reel paper (12) is stripped off the fixing roller (86). The printer also has a pivoting print transfer station and a paper dividing device separately pivotable from the print transfer station.

    摘要: An electrographic printer has an intermediate medium for simultaneously printing a first web section of an endless medium and a second web section arranged next to and at a distance from the first web section. Both web sections are drawn along a path past the intermediate medium by a transport system. During the printing process, a tensioning device biases the first and second web sections against the intermediate medium. A web-tensioning unit located downstream relative to the direction of transport of the transport device, applies a traction force to the web sections in the direction of travel. In addition, a first compensation device and a second compensation device separated from the first compensation device are provided between the transport device and tensioning device. The compensation devices bias the first or second web sections as appropriate, against the direction of transport during the printing process.

The transport assembly includes spaced parallel drive belts, each trained about at least three spaced wheel means, one of which is rotatably driven. One span of the belts presents the recording carrier to the feed device while another span withdraws the recording carrier from the feed device. The feed device presents the recording carrier to the intermediate carrier and directs it away from the intermediate carrier. The entire unit is pivotable towards and away from the intermediate carrier.

    摘要: In the non-mechanical printing art relating to equipment for reproducing a negative on a photoelectric data carrier, a mechanical device for readily detachably applying a negative to a cylinder in such a manner as to assure flush application of the negative to the cylinder and proper positioning of the negative. The negative is provided with a spring contact strip at the leading edge and a knob contact strip at the trailing edge. The film is wrapped around the cylinder such that springs on the spring contact strip are caused to snap over knobs on the knob contact strip causing a tight wrapping of the film about the cylinder. The spring contact strip and the knob contact strip are positioned in proper registry with the film by the use of round and square locating markers and corresponding holes on the films and the strips respectively.

A control device controls the heating zones (21, 23) in such a manner that, along the preheating saddle (15), an approximately constent thermal energy flow occurs on the saddle surface (24) to the recording substrate (17). For matching the preheating saddle (15) to various recording substrate widths, the preheating saddle is subdivided, transversely to the recording substrate heating direction, into individually drivable transverse heating zones (30/1 to 30/3).
