    摘要: A heart valve delivery system is provided wherein a prosthetic valve is carried on a valve catheter inside a delivery sleeve. A step balloon protrudes from the delivery sleeve and provides a tapered surface for facilitating advancement through a body vessel. The step balloon also aids in crossing the leaflets of a native valve. After the prosthetic valve is positioned within the native valve, the delivery sleeve is retracted to expose the prosthetic valve. In one embodiment, the delivery sleeve is retracted by the use of a lead screw, which effectuates relative movement between the valve catheter and delivery sleeve. The prosthetic valve is preferably self-expandable. If necessary, the step balloon may be expanded to securely seat the prosthetic valve at the site of the native valve. The prosthetic valve is preferably coupled to the valve catheter by a plurality of flexible extension arms which allow the prosthetic valve to be collapsed after initial deployment such that the prosthetic valve may be repositioned if necessary.

    摘要: A heart valve delivery system is provided wherein a prosthetic valve is carried on a valve catheter inside a tubular delivery sleeve. The valve catheter has a distal end coupled to a mop. The mop comprises a plurality of flexible extensions configured for releasable attachment to the prosthetic valve. A lead screw nut is coupled to a proximal end of the tubular delivery sleeve and a lead screw is coupled to the valve catheter. The lead screw engages the lead screw nut and rotation of the lead screw causes the delivery sleeve to retract relative to the valve catheter and the prosthetic valve for exposing the prosthetic valve. The flexible extensions of the mop allow expansion of the valve while maintaining the attachment during placement of the valve at a native valve site.

    摘要: A stent delivery system for treating a bifurcated vessel includes a first elongate shaft with a first expandable member. A first stent having a side hole is disposed over the first expandable member. A second elongate shaft has a second expandable member. The second elongate shaft is slidably disposed under the proximal end of the first stent and extends out of the side hole. The first stent is fully crimped over a proximal portion and a distal portion of the first expandable member and a proximal portion of the second expandable member so as to prevent axial movement of the first stent relative to the first or second elongate shafts during delivery. Portions of the first or second expandable members may be pillowed to provide a protective barrier that prevents edges of the stent from catching on other objects.

    摘要: Guide wire for use in a medical procedure and for use with the power supply comprising a flexible elongate tubular member having proximal and distal extremities and having a bore extending from the proximal extremity to the distal extremity.
