摘要: Disclosed are a prism sheet and a liquid crystal display having the same. The prism sheet includes a base and a plurality of prism mountains. The base includes a front surface and a rear surface facing the front surface. The prism mountains are integrally formed with the base on the rear surface of the base. At least one prism mountain includes a plurality of light incidence surfaces and a reflective surface. The light incidence surfaces receive light. The reflective surface is adjacent to one of the light incidence surfaces to reflect the light. A vertical angle of the prism mountains formed between the light incidence surface adjacent to the reflective surface and the reflective surface, is in a range of about 70° to about 100°.

摘要: A light condenser for an LCD includes a base layer, a condensing layer and a lower surface-treated layer. The condensing layer is disposed on the base layer and has a condensing pattern formed therein. The lower surface-treated layer is disposed below the base layer and has a plurality of protrusions extending downwardly therefrom. Each of the protrusions has a substantially round shape. The novel light condenser enables the number of optical elements needed in a display apparatus to be reduced, thereby reducing LCD manufacturing costs. Additionally, the light condenser prevents a mutual scratching and adhesion problem between the condenser and a diffusing plate of the LCD, thereby improving the quality of the image produced by the display.

摘要: An optical member includes a base body, a plurality of light-concentrating lenses and a plurality of light-diffusing patterns. The base body has a first surface and a second surface which is opposite to the first surface and receives light from light sources. The light-concentrating lenses are formed on the first surface. The light-diffusing patterns are respectively formed at positions of the second surface respectively corresponding to the light sources to reduce an amount of light reflected by the light-concentrating lenses. Each of the light-diffusing patterns includes curved surfaces extending in a first direction and has a width which is in a predetermined range. The light-diffusing patterns are separated from one another in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction.

摘要: Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for estimating a distance and a position between a photographing unit and a predetermined object based on an image of the photographing unit using a single camera. An apparatus for estimating a distance of an object based on a single camera image includes: a region detector detecting an object region box including the predetermined object in an image photographed by a photographing unit; a distance estimator measuring the size of the detected object region box and estimating a distance between the predetermined object and the photographing unit on the basis of an interpolating function interpolating the relationship of the size of the object region box and distances up to the photographing unit and the predetermined object; and a position estimator generating object position information estimating the position of the predetermined object.

摘要: The present invention relates to a network-based robot system and an executing method thereof. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, predefine environment information is expressed in a universal data model (UDM) described by a linkage that shows a relationship among nodes, each node being an object of a virtual space abstracted by a real physical space. The universal data model is updated based on the context information, event occurrence information is transmitted to a task engine when the context information data value is changed, and the task engine executes a corresponding task through reasoning and invokes an external service. The robot can better recognize the context information by utilizing the external sensing function and external processing function. In addition, the robot system can provide an active service by reasoning the recognized context information and obtaining high-level information.
