摘要： An image processing system comprising a first and second video signal sources providing a main-field video signal and sub-field video signal, respectively, means for compressing the sub-field video signal on the time axis, and a signal merging unit which merges the compressed sub-field video signal into the main-field video signal and delivers the resulting signal to a television receiver set, wherein the signal compressing means comprising a dual-port memory having a first and second ports and operating to compress the sub-field video signal on the time axis and store the compressed signal, and control means for controlling the reading and writing of the memory for the sub-field video signal, the control means comprising a first control section for writing the sub-field video signal into the first port of said memory, a second control section for transferring a signal from the first port to the second port, and a third control section for reading out a signal from the second port, said memory implementing the reading operation and writing operation in asynchronous manner.

摘要： In order to attain such editing that the fade in/fade out effect is obtained at a joint between scenes, an editing circuit for magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus includes memory for storing therein the last field (or one frame) of a video signal of a first scene recorded on magnetic tape, and operation processing circuit for adding an output signal obtained by repetitively reading out signals from the memory to a video signal of a second scene supplied from outside with proportions sucessively changed. The output signal of the operation processing circuit is supplied to the magnetic tape as a recording signal.

摘要： This invention relates to a method and apparatus for processing a color video signal. The processing method separates an input composite color video signal into a luminance signal and chrominance signal, demodulates the separated chrominance signal into color difference signals, stores the separated luminance signal and color difference signals in a memory, reads out the luminance signal and color differnece signals in units of 1-field period from the memory, implements the extension or reduction of the field period length alternately for every certain number of fields in reading out the luminance signal and color difference signals from the memory thereby to fix the phase relation between a residual chrominance signal component in the luminance signal read out of the memory and a chrominance signal produced by modulating the color subcarrier with the color difference signals read out of the memory, implements an intended signal processing for the readout signals, modulates the color subcarrier with processed color difference signals to produce a chrominance signal, and mixes the chrominance signal with processed luminance signal to produce a composite color video signal.

摘要： A memory controlling apparatus for a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus which records and reproduces a field image signal in each read or write cycle performed by a video head for reproducing the image signal from a magnetic tape, and by a video head position detector for detecting the position of the video head. A reference circuit obtains a signal defining a reference timing which is independent of the position of the video head and which is also used to determine the phase of the video head. A memory is provided having storage sufficient to store the field image signal, and a controller is provided for controlling the operation of reading and writing the image signal from and into the memory. The controller is synchronized with a signal of the video head position detector when storing the image signal into the memory and when reading out the image stored in the memory, the controller and the head position detector are synchronized with the reference timing so as to enable production of a slow-motion image signal free from fluctuations caused by feeding of the magnetic tape.

摘要： A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus equipped with an image sensor, has a camera portion having an A/D converter for converting a signal from an image sensor into a digital signal and a first digital processor for receiving an output of the A/D converter and for digitally processing thereof. A VTR portion of a helical scan type mounts at least two or more of magnetic heads for recording/reproducing a FM modulated luminance signal and a low band converted chrominance signal. A second digital processor processes a video signal of the VTR. A switching circuit is provided in a preceding stage of the A/D converter. The image sensor signal, an external video signal and a reproduced signal from the magnetic heads are exchanged. The output of the A/D converter is inputed to the second digital processor, and a sampling clock of the A/D converter is exchanged to the most appropriate clock for the respective image sensor signal, the external video signal and the reproduced signal from the magnetic heads.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for recording and playing back monitored video data for recording monitored video data generated continuously for a long time on a magnetic tape, with less S/N degradation by shortening the operation time of the VTR to suppress the degradation of the magnetic tape, recording head, and other mechanical items, wherein video signals from a video camera are converted to digital signals in an A/D converter, compressed and encoded in a compression encoder & decoder circuit, then transferred to a time axis compression circuit including the first memory, the second memory, an SCSI controller, and a hard disk unit, thereafter compressed on the time axis and recorded on the magnetic tape loaded in a D-VHS standard VTR via an I/F circuit. Compressing the video data from the compression encoder & decoder circuit on the time axis in the time axis compression circuit makes shorter the recording time of the video data on the magnetic tape than the actual recording time of the video camera, whereby the VTR is only required to record video data intermittently on the magnetic tape and that a general home VTR can be adopted as the above VTR, moreover the magnetic tape itself is prevented from damages.
