    摘要: Light emitted from an array of light-emitting elements in an electrophotographic printer is transmitted through a birefringent plate that deflects light polarized in a first plane but does not deflect light polarized in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane, and through a polarization switching device that is controlled by an electrical signal so as to selectably transmit light polarized in either the first plane or the second plane. The transmitted light illuminates a photosensitive medium. Each light-emitting element can illuminate two dots on the photosensitive medium, depending on the state of the polarization switching device, thereby doubling the dot resolution.

    摘要: An image formation apparatus of the present invention forms an electrostatic latent image on a moving photosensitive belt by a laser beam produced by a laser device. A belt edge detector 1 detects an edge portion (belt edge) of a photosensitive belt 100 in a main scanning direction. A virtual edge detection circuit 2 generates a virtual edge detection signal 2A which changes a generation timing in accordance with a change of a detection timing of the belt edge detected by the belt edge detector 1. The generation timing of the virtual edge detection signal 2A does not almost follow the detection timing of the belt edge which changes by flaws and non-linearity of the belt edge, and changes in accordance with a slow change of the detection timing. A synchronizing signal generation circuit 3 and a driving circuit 4 drives the laser device so as to start a writing of an image data by the laser beam in synchronization with the virtual edge detection signal.

    摘要: A laser color image forming apparatus uses a plurality of laser beams, forms a latent image on a photosensitive belt by laser scanning having a fixed scanning frequency and a pixel forming clock frequency within one scanning, develops the latent image on the photosensitive belt by toner absorption using toner of a color corresponding to each laser beam, and then transfers the developed image to a printing medium such as a paper sheet or the like. Regarding image patterns for the detection of positional deviation, specifically designed to detect the quantity of printing positional deviation of a color to be measured, zonal patterns arrayed on a fixed cycle for a reference color and zonal patterns having shapes similar to the former and designed for the color to be measured are superposed to form a plurality of image patterns on the photosensitive belt. For the respective image patterns, the zonal patterns for the reference color and the color to be measured are shifted from each other based on the mutually different quantities of deviation. The reflection density of each image pattern is measured, and an image pattern having a minimum reflection density is detected. Based on the quantity of deviation of this detected pattern, the quantity of printing positional deviation of the color to be measured is detected. To eliminate the printing positional deviation, based on the detected quantity of printing positional deviation, the scanning start timing of laser scanning and the pixel forming clock frequency are changed.

    摘要: A matrix type display apparatus such as a liquid crystal display is provided which has a simple circuit structure and is capable of enlarging the display of a screen. A shift section is provided with 1024 FF (flip-flop) circuits. When enlarged display mode is designated by a mode signal MOD, one FF circuit is connected in parallel to two FF circuits via a switch SW (an analog switch). Accordingly, R, G, B data for 640 pixels is increased to 960 display voltages and fed to the Y electrodes of a liquid crystal panel. A shift section is provided with 768 FF (flip-flop) circuits. When enlarged display mode is designated, one FF circuit is connected in parallel to two FF circuits via a switch SW. Accordingly, scan voltages for 720 lines are generated from the scan signals of 480 lines and fed to the X electrodes of a liquid crystal panel. Accordingly, a screen display is enlarged vertically and horizontally by a factor of 1.5.
