    摘要: An image resolution conversion method converting an image of a first resolution represented by multivalued digital data into an image of a second resolution by interpolation, comprises the steps of assigning a block defined by a plurality of pre-conversion pixels of the first resolution image to each post-conversion pixel, performing edge detection in the block based on data for each pixel of the block, and performing resolution conversion by a first interpolation method when at least the result of the edge detection satisfies predetermined conditions, and performing resolution conversion by a second interpolation method when the result of the edge detection does not satisfy the predetermined conditions.

    摘要: A color image editing apparatus capable of improving color detecting accuracy, color-converting a chromatic color into a neutral (achromatic) color and vice verse and performing a hue conversion, while maintaining gradation. The color image editing apparatus in which image signals read out by an image reading unit are converted to density, hue and chroma signals by color display coordinate system convertor to perform a color image editing operation inlcudes a detector for detecting whether or not density, hue and chroma of a detected color image is within predetermined density, hue and chroma ranges, respectively. It is judged by a judging unit whether or not a color of the detected color image is of a predetermined color in responses to an output of the detector, and a color changing unit means converts the density, hue and chroma independently in response to the judgement result of the judging unit.

    摘要: A color image recording device for use in a color copying machine, a color facsimile, a color printer and the like, which has a function to perform color edit processings including a color conversion processing, a coloring processing and the like.editing with ease and with high accuracy. Data B, G, and R output from an image read unit are converted to data L*, a*, and b* respectively by first color signal conversion unit and further the data a* and b* are then converted to data H and C by third color signal conversion unit. Image data V, H and C are color edited by image edit block and the output thereof H and C are converted to a* and b* respectively by fourth color signal conversion unit. The outputs of the first color signal conversion unit are also input to delay unit, are delayed by a time equal to a processing time in image edit unit by the delay unit, and are then input to selector unit. The selector unit, in accordance with a switching control signal S.sub.cont output from the image edit block, outputs either of the color edited data L*, a* and b* that are output from the image edit unit or the data L*, a* and b* that are output from the delay unit.

    摘要: In case of a “N-up” function, a correcting unit executes a correcting process operation with respect to an image read by an image input unit, a editing unit executes a magnification changing process operation, and thereafter, “N” sheets of images are placed side by side to form a single synthesized image at a time when the processed image is stored into a storage unit 15. When transmitting the synthesized image, an attribute of the image set from a U/I is added to the synthesized image and the control unit transmits the resulting image to an external apparatus. As a result, a reception side can execute an optimum processing operation with respect to the synthesized image with reference to the attribute added to the image. As a consequence, even in a “network copy”, the “N-up” function can be realized in a high image quality similar to that of a “direct copy”.

    摘要: An image processing apparatus and a recording medium which can improve the quality of a color document image are provided. An input image is converted into an image having low resolution. A subtractive color image is generated using the converted image having low resolution. From the subtractive color image, adjacent pixels which are allocated to the same representative color are unified so as to extract an FCR (Flat Color Region) candidate region. A region candidate is redetermined using an image having resolution which is higher than the subtractive color image. Next, a boundary of the FCR is detected and an ultimate FCR is determined. Selection of a representative color of the determined FCR is carried out, and a specific color processing which replaces a color which is close to a pure color with the pure color is effected. Finally, image regeneration is carried out by overwriting and drawing (synthesizing) the FCR on the input image.
