摘要： A balanced-unbalanced transformation device includes a plate-like dielectric substrate having a ground electrode and a plurality of major surface electrodes formed thereon. Two of the major surface electrodes are connected to the ground electrode via short-circuit side surface electrodes so as to form ¼ wavelength resonator transmission lines. A third major surface electrode is disposed between the two major surface electrodes and has either end open so as to form a ½ wavelength resonator transmission line. A balancing characteristic adjustment side surface electrode is provided on a side surface of the dielectric substrate. By adjusting a capacitance formed between the balancing characteristic adjustment side surface electrode and the third major surface electrode, a phase balance between two balanced signals is set to a desired value.

摘要： A dielectric filter includes a dielectric block having inner-conductor-formed holes extending from a first face of the dielectric block to a second face opposed to the first face. Inner conductors are formed inside the inner-conductor-formed holes such that both ends of the inner-conductor-formed holes are open-circuited. On the exterior surface of the dielectric block, balanced input/output terminals are capacitively coupled to the open ends of the inner-conductor-formed holes. A metal cover is provided so as to cover one of the first or second face of the dielectric block. The metal cover functions as a short-circuit conductor in a spurious mode such as a TE mode other than a TEM mode, and hence the influence of the spurious mode is avoided.

摘要： A dielectric filter or a dielectric duplexer is provided which comprises a dielectric block in a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape, having a pair of opposite parallel end-faces and plural sides extending between the paired opposite end-faces, one of the plural sides being a mounting face; plural resonator holes elongating through the inside of the dielectric block across the paired opposite end-faces; inner conductors provided on the inner walls of the plural resonator holes, respectively; an outer conductor provided on the outside of the dielectric block; input-output electrodes provided only on one of the paired opposite end-faces, separated from the outer conductor, and capacitance-coupled to the predetermined inner conductors, respectively; and conductive terminals for external connection, connected to the input-output electrodes, having at least portions thereof lying substantially in the same plane as the mounting face. In the dielectric filter or the dielectric duplexer, since input-output electrode are provided on the end-face of the dielectric block, not provided on the sides of the dielectric block, the deterioration of Q0, caused by the input-output electrodes, can be reduced. Accordingly, the insertion loss and the attenuation characteristics are improved.

Two of the top-surface electrodes are connected to the ground electrode via respective short-circuit side-surface electrodes to form quarter wavelength resonant lines. A third top-surface electrode is provided between the two top-surface electrodes and both ends thereof are opened to form a half wavelength resonant line. The two top-surface electrodes each have a parallel portion arranged near and in parallel to the third top-surface electrode and a flexion that curves from the parallel portion, extends toward the remaining of the two top-surface electrodes, and is jump-coupled to the remaining of the two top-surface electrodes. The short-circuit side-surface electrodes are jump-coupled to each other, like the flexions.

摘要： A dielectric filter which corrects the mismatch of the resonance frequencies of resonators formed by internal conductors between a balanced terminal side and an unbalanced terminal side of the filter, and which is capable of easily obtaining a predetermined external coupling capacitance. Also, a dielectric duplexer, and a communication apparatus having the filter are obtained. Inside a dielectric block, a plurality of internal-conductor holes have different cross-sectional sizes, in which both ends thereof are open and internal conductors are formed on the inner surfaces. Also, the outer surface of the dielectric block is formed with an external conductor over four surfaces, but not on the opening surfaces of both ends of the internal-conductor holes. A pair of balanced terminals are coupled to the ends of one of the internal conductors, and an unbalanced terminal is coupled to one of the end portions of another internal conductor. An external-conductor-removed section may also be formed in a portion in the vicinity of the end portion of the other internal conductor. In this manner, the dielectric filter is formed.

摘要： A communication device in which the problem caused by separately providing an antenna and a filter directly connected thereto, and the problem caused by separately providing a balanced-to-unbalanced transformer, have been solved. A dielectric filter having a both-end opened &lgr;/2 resonator is constructed by providing inner-conductor forming holes in a dielectric block. An antenna is constructed by forming a radiation electrode and terminal electrodes on a dielectric block. By bonding the antenna and dielectric filter, an antenna device is achieved which has a balanced feed antenna and which performs the input-output of unbalanced signals.
