    摘要: An inference conducted by use of fuzzy knowledge can be directly written in inference rules. It is possible to use ambiguous language expressions and freely describe flexible knowledge, although ambiguous, in a knowledge base. The user specifies execution priority orders or conviction degrees of inference rules such that even when an antecedent contains a confirmative or determinant action, a contention between rules is prevented. An intermediate results of a fuzzy inference is passed in a form of a real number or a fuzzy label to the next inference to achieve a fuzzy multi-stage inference. A multi-stage inference conducting a backtrack operation based on fuzzy knowledge is implemented to reflect a user's ambiguous knowledge. An inference method associated with a best value retrieval function is provided, in contrast to the conventional method in which a fuzzy inference and a binary logic inference are continuously achieved from an upper-level retrieval or search point to a lower-level retrieval point in a one-directional manner.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for automatically generating and adjusting fuzzy reasoning, rules based on changes in the reasoning error. The apparatus includes a fuzzy reasoning section that performs fuzzy logic based on the fuzzy reasoning rules stored in the a rule memory. The parameters of the fuzzy reasoning rules are adjusted in a parameter tuning section based on the output of the fuzzy reasoning section and predetermined input and output data. A reasoning error calculation section calculates a reasoning error and a change in the reasoning error based on the results from the fuzzy reasoning section and the predetermined input and output data. The reasoning error calculation section also disables the parameter tuning section when the calculated reasoning error is less than a predetermined first threshold value. When the calculated reasoning error is greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold value and the change in the reasoning error is less than a predetermined second threshold value, a rule generation section generates one or more fuzzy reasoning rules and regenerates the fuzzy reasoning rules stored in the rule memory based on the new fuzzy reasoning rule(s) so that optimal fuzzy reasoning rules are obtained.

An inference operational quantity determiner receives outputs from the antecedent neural element and the situational change processor and performs fuzzy inference in accordance with the inference rules so as to determine the inference operational quantity. A battery pack having a nonvolatile memory and a secondary battery cell is attached to the battery charger. Full charge capacity data indicating a chargeable capacity of the battery pack at full charge and a left-charged battery deterioration correcting table to correct the full charge capacity data in accordance with the number of charge cycles are read out from the nonvolatile memory. The charged state data is counted each time it is stored in the nonvolatile memory. A battery cycle deterioration correcting value is specified based on the number of charge cycles, and full charge capacity data is corrected using the specified correcting value. The full charge capacity stored in the nonvolatile memory is rewritten.
