摘要： In a DVD video player with a built-in CD-R drive, until it reaches the state that the data of an optical disk can be reproduced, the output is switched into the reproduction output from a flash memory, a record medium that is quick to start reading. This makes it possible to develop user interfaces such as: voluntarily reproducing an audio information from the flash memory to add music sounds or sounds with special effects to the screen saver, in replacement of the optical disk drive that cannot read data during the screen saver being in operation or being in standby; reproducing the sounds with special effects; reproducing click sounds in response to a key input from the key or the remote control unit; and announcing to inform of the state to the user.

The program includes the steps of: obtaining from the outside specific information associated with predetermined information recorded on a recording medium; and obtaining medium identification information located on a recording medium; wherein if the specific information has been obtained, a storage unit in a reproducing apparatus is controlled to associate the specific information with the medium identification information for storage.

In the case where the first medium identification number coincides with the second medium identification number and the current time has not passed the expiry date of the valid viewing period, then the predetermined information is reproduced from the recording medium.

摘要： A pull-up circuit prevents generation of a leak current if a difference of potentials occurs between a power source voltage of a pull-up circuit (a bus-hold circuit) and an input terminal. A control terminal is provided in the bus-hold circuit. Inputs of the input terminal and the control terminal are input to a NOR gate, and an output of the NOR gate is input to a gate terminal of a first MOSFET that controls coupling between an input terminal and the power source voltage of the bus-hold circuit. A second MOSFET (“control” MOSFET) is provided as a switch that operates by an inverted output of the control terminal. By coupling the first MOSFET and the control MOSFET in series, the coupling between the input terminal and the power source voltage is controlled with a higher precision, thereby preventing generation of a leak current.

In the conventional art, there is no method of distinguishing a program recorded on an RE layer by an application on a ROM layer, from a program recorded on the RE layer by a user, on a hybrid disc. The present invention solves a problem as described above by separating a playlist for recording performed by the application on the ROM layer, from a playlist for recording performed by the user, and retaining information indicating a subject which has performed the recording.
