摘要： A liquid discharge head comprises a separation member for separating the discharge liquid flow paths communicated with discharge ports for discharging discharge liquid to enable discharge liquid to flow, and the bubbling liquid flow paths to enable bubbling liquid to flow, which is provided with the bubble generating areas for creating bubbles used for discharging discharge liquid from the discharge ports. This separation member is provided with the opening portions positioned to face the bubble generating areas, and displacement members provided for the separation member corresponding to the openings, having the free ends to be displaced by bubbles created on the bubble generating areas provided for the separation member. Then, with no bubbles created on the bubble generating areas, the displacement members interrupt the opening portions, and with bubbles created thereon, the free ends of the displacement members are displaced to discharge discharge liquid from the discharge ports of the head. Hence, this head can prevent discharge liquid from entering around the heat generating members at the time of bubble disappearance, and the mixture of discharge liquid and bubbling liquid when the head is left intact for a long time, while maintaining the excellent discharge efficiency by means of the displacement members thus arranged.

摘要： A method for the discharge of a liquid and a liquid discharge head are provided which produce stable discharge of the liquid and, at the same time, facilitate the supply of the liquid by repressing the oscillation of a movable separation membrane during the extinction of bubbles. The method comprises using a movable separation membrane for separating a first flow path communicating with a discharge port for discharging the liquid and a second flow path furnished with a bubble generating region for generating bubbles in the liquid by the use of a heating element, disposing a movable member opposed to the bubble generating region across the movable separation membrane and furnished with a free terminal in the direction of liquid discharge, causing separation between the movable separation membrane and the movable member during the contraction of the bubbles, and inducing the intrusion of the liquid therebetween.

摘要： A liquid discharge method is designed for a liquid jet head provided with first discharge openings, a first liquid flow path conductively connected with each of the first discharge openings, first energy generating devices for generating energy for the discharge of droplets from the first discharge openings, second discharge openings, a second liquid flow path conductively connected with each of the second discharge openings, and second energy generating devices for generating energy for the discharge of droplets from the second discharge openings. Then, preceding the discharge of the first droplet from the discharge opening at a first discharge speed v.sub.1, the second droplet is discharged from the second discharge opening at a second discharge speed v.sub.2 smaller than the first discharge speed, and before each of the liquid droplets being impacted on an object, the first liquid droplet and the second liquid droplet are allowed to collide with each other to be combined. In this way, it becomes possible to allow two droplets to be in contact or to collide with each other reliably to be mixed between the liquid jet head and the object within a range that does not render any hinderance practically even if discharge speeds may fluctuate, hence obtaining precise images in higher quality.

摘要： This specification discloses a liquid discharging method of discharging liquid from a discharge port for discharging the liquid by a liquid discharging element in a first liquid flow path communicating with the discharge port for supplying the liquid to the discharge port, characterized by the use of a variable member for causing negative pressure to act on the first liquid flow path. The specification also discloses a liquid discharging head having a discharge port for discharging liquid therethrough, a first bubble creating area for creating a first bubble in the liquid, and a first liquid flow path provided with the first bubble creating area and communicating with the discharge port, the liquid in the first liquid flow path being discharged through the discharge port by the creation of the first bubble, characterized by a second bubble creating area for creating a second bubble in the liquid, a second liquid flow path provided with the second bubble creating area, and negative pressure acting means using a variable member provided between the first liquid flow path and the second liquid flow path for causing only negative pressure to act in the first liquid flow path by the disappearance of the second bubble. The specification also discloses a head cartridge and a liquid discharging apparatus using such liquid discharging head.

摘要： A liquid jet head is provided with a first bubble generating device for enabling a first flow path conductively connected with a first discharge opening to create a bubble for the formation of discharge droplet, and a second bubble generating device for enabling a second flow path conductively connected with a second discharge opening to create a bubble for the formation of discharge droplet, and comprises a substrate having the first and second bubble generating devices on the surface area shared by them for use, an orifice section provided with the first and second discharge openings sequentially in the direction intersecting the sharable surface area of the substrate, and a flow path formation section for separating each path of the first and second flow paths at least from the discharge opening to the bubble generating device thereof, at the same time, arranging at least part of the first and second flow paths to be essentially in the form of laminated layer with respect to the substrate. With the structure thus arranged, crosstalks are prevented across each line of liquid flow paths, and also, to materialize a liquid jet head capable of making its discharge amount variable for the stabilized discharge of droplets in different amount from the plural lines of discharge openings for recording images in higher precision and quality.

摘要： A liquid carrying method is to carry liquid by pressure exerted by the creation of air bubble, which comprises the step of using an apparatus provided with a first liquid flow path for enabling the carrying liquid to flow, a second liquid flow path provided with the air bubble generating area for creating air bubble, a heat generating device arranged for the air bubble generating area to generate heat for the creation of the air bubble and a movable separation film for separating the first liquid flow path and the second liquid flow path and the step of carrying liquid in the first liquid flow path by displacing the movable separation film, having direction regulating means for regulating the displacement direction of the movable separation film, to the first liquid flow path side by the pressure exerted by the creation of the air bubble. With the method thus structured, it becomes possible to carry liquid efficiently and discharge it from each of the discharge openings stably with high discharge force in good discharge efficiency.

摘要： A liquid discharge head comprises discharge ports for discharging the liquid, a bubble producing area for producing an air bubble in the liquid of liquid flow channels, and a movable member, which is disposed toward the bubble producing area, and displaceable between a first position and a second position farther away from the bubble producing area than the first position, the liquid discharge head discharging the liquid in such a manner that the movable member is displaced from the first position to the second position by a pressure due to a bubble produced in the bubble producing area, and the bubble is more greatly expanded downstream than upstream in a direction toward the discharge port, due to the displacement of the movable member. The head has a check valve disposed in a liquid supply passage leading to the liquid flow channels.
