    摘要: A vacuum pump includes a hollow container that has a vacuum port and internal chamber walls. The vacuum port opens to an exterior of the container and the chamber walls define chambers that are in fluid communication with the vacuum port. There are flexible bladders disposed in the chambers. The flexible bladders include vents that open through the container to the exterior. A plunger in the container includes arms that extend into the chambers such that each of the flexible bladders is situated between one of the arms and one of the chamber walls. The plunger is moveable between a home position and an upstroke position to compress and deflate the flexible bladders via the vents and thereby change the volume of the flexible bladders. The change in the volume draws a vacuum through the vacuum port.

    摘要: A hydraulically driven diaphragm pumping machine (“pump”), in particular for water and difficult-to-pump materials, comprises at least two side-by-side pumping units. Each pumping unit comprises a hydraulically-driven pump cylinder (1,2) and a separate non-pump hydraulic drive cylinder (9,10). The pump cylinder (1,2) has a lower first end with a first inlet and outlet for fluid to be pumped and an upper second end with a second inlet and outlet for hydraulic fluid. The pump cylinder (1,2) contains a bellows (3,4) closed at its lower end and open at its upper end for communication with hydraulic fluid. The outside of the bellows (3,4) defines a space for fluid to be pumped. The bellows (3,4) of the pump cylinder (1,2) is arranged to be driven by hydraulic fluid supplied at its top end, in concertina like expansion and contraction to pump the fluid to be pumped adjacent the lower first end of the pump cylinder (1,2). The hydraulic drive cylinder (9,10) is placed side-by-side the pump cylinder (1,2). The hydraulic drive cylinder (9,10) has a lower first end associated with a hydraulic drive an upper second end containing hydraulic fluid communicating with the upper second end of the pump cylinder (1,2). The hydraulic drive terminates at its upper end with a drive piston (19,20) slidably mounted in the hydraulic drive cylinder (9,10). The hydraulic drives of the hydraulic drive cylinders (9,10) of the two pumping units are connected by a hydro-mechanical connection (25,27) designed to control drive of the hydraulic fluid to advance and retract the pistons (19,20) of each hydraulic drive cylinder (9,10).

    摘要: Provided is a microchip having a liquid supply mechanism which can supply a solution in a micro flow path with a simple construction in which a drive source utilizing an osmotic pressure is arranged within the microchip and which controls the osmotic pressure by a control unit utilizing temperature or the like, whereby it is possible to effect drive control such as intermittent driving and continuous driving at a fixed velocity. The liquid supply mechanism using osmotic pressure includes an osmotic pump utilizing the osmotic pressure of a liquid filling chambers separated from each other by a semipermeable membrane, and a unit which varies the osmotic pressure by changing a condition of the solution in at least one of the chambers on the basis of a timing of a pumping operation.

    摘要: A tubular pumping element for pumping a liquid is disclosed. The tubular pumping element includes an outer shell that has a bore with an inlet and an outlet at opposite ends of the bore. There is a flow path for the liquid from the inlet through the bore to the outlet. A support element is located within the bore of the outer shell. An elastic sleeve is located over the support element and has a plurality of expandable portions. The support element includes a plurality of fluid passages each coupled to a respective port on the surface of the support element under one of the plurality of expandable portions of the elastic sleeve. Introduction of a driving fluid into one of the fluid passages causes the expandable portion of the elastic sleeve that is proximate to the respective port to expand.
