Abstract:
A plasma display panel with an increased display contrast improves a visibility of the display at low costs. A green light absorbing filter is provided on the outer surface of a substrate on the display surface side and a monochromatic light transmitting filter corresponding to at least one of red and blue fluorescent material layers which face each other through a discharge space is provided on the inner surface of the substrate on the display surface side. The green light absorbing filter is provided on the outer surface of the substrate on the display surface side and at least one of the red and blue fluorescent material layers is formed by a fluorescent material layer colored so as to absorb the light in wavelength regions other than the corresponding monochromatic light.
Abstract:
A plasma display panel comprises: a front glass base-plate provided on the front side of the plasma display panel; a rear glass base-plate provided on the rear side of the plasma display panel; a plurality of row electrode pairs provided on an internal surface of the front glass base-plate; a dielectric layer covering the row electrode pairs; a plurality of column electrodes provided on an internal surface of the rear glass base-plate. At least one electrode of each row electrode pair has a main body portion extending in a horizontal direction, and has a protruding portion in a unit luminous area. Further, each protruding portion consists of a transparent electrically conductive film and is formed into an isolated island in a unit luminous area.
Abstract:
A coating method of coating a surface of an object with a paint containing a glitter pigment, including: spraying the paint onto the surface of the object; and controlling a color shade of the paint on the object by adjusting a particle size of paint particles to be sprayed according to a spray width indicating a width of a spread of the paint particles.
Abstract:
A plasma display panel includes a front substrate plate providing a display surface; a plurality of row electrode pairs formed on an inner surface of the front substrate plate; a dielectric layer formed on the plurality of row electrode pairs; a protection layer formed on the dielectric layer; a rear substrate plate spaced apart from the front substrate plate with a discharge space formed therebetween; a plurality of column electrodes formed on an inner surface of the rear substrate layer and arranged in a direction orthogonal to the row electrode pairs; a plurality of elongated partitions disposed between the plurality of column electrodes; a plurality of elongated fluorescent layers covering the column electrodes and side walls of the elongated partitions; a plurality of color filter layers formed on the inner surface of the front substrate plate. The color filter layers are inorganic pigment layers patterned in a manner such that one or more unit luminescent areas contains one of the color filter layers just like an isolated island.

Abstract:
In a manufacturing process for a plasma display panel, a protective layer 3 formed of MgO is placed in a non-display area of a display space in which introduction of a discharge gas is provided, so as to face the discharge space. Bus electrodes Xb and Yb of row electrodes X and Y are increased in length to continue extending from inside a display area of the plasma display panel into the non-display area, and thus constitute a pair of discharge electrode for causing a discharge in the non-display area of the discharge space in which the introduction of the discharge gas is provided. When the discharge gas is introduced into the discharge gas, a voltage is applied between the discharge electrodes to cause an aging discharge.
