    摘要: A printed article with metallic luster and gold-like appearance that encompasses a printable media on which a printed feature has been formed with an ink composition. The ink composition contains iron oxide pigment particles that have an average particle 5 size in the range of about 3 to about 300 nm and the printable media contains a bottom supporting substrate and ink-absorbing layer with pore diameters that are smaller than the average size of the iron oxide pigment particles. In such printed article, the ink composition forms onto the printable media a printed feature that has a thickness that is below about 300 nm.

    摘要: A method of coating an object includes applying a heterogeneous mixture of polymeric powder and metal powder to a surface of an object and heating the surface for a period of time sufficient to cause the polymeric powder to cure and form a coating on the surface. The cured polymeric coating may then be subjected to one or more finishing operations. The resulting coating contains a substantially equal distribution of metal powder throughout a thickness thereof. The powder mixture may adhere to adhesive material applied to one or more surfaces of an object. The powder mixture may adhere to one or more heated surfaces of an object.

    摘要: Radiant-barrier structures include visible images that do not materially alter the emissivity and reflective quality of the barrier. The images are formed either below the reflective metallic layer or on top of the protective layer of the barrier used in commercial and residential construction applications, apparel, tents and other heat-management applications. The images may contain product and application information as well as visual effects with functional and/or decorative value. In some radiant-barrier embodiments the image-forming process enhances the radiant-barrier performance by lowering the surface emissivity.
