Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a highly efficient and highly reliable rotary electric machine. A rotary electric machine includes: a stator around which a plurality of coils are wound; and a rotor which is supported to be freely rotatable with a predetermined gap with respect to the stator. The coil has at least one connection portion per turn in a slot of the stator. Conductors to be connected mutually have steps at the connection portion, and are fitted with other conductors so as to mutually fill the steps. The steps have contact surfaces that come into contact with each other in the slot to be electrically conducted. A thermally expandable sheet capable of pressurizing the coil in a radial direction of the stator is arranged in the slot.

The switch according to the present invention includes: first terminal and a second terminal that are adjacently attached to a stator; a movable shaft movable in a first direction and a second direction, a plurality of movers attached to the movable shaft; and a movable segment that is connected to two of the plurality of movers and biases the two movers in a direction in which they are away from each other. The switch is capable of switching among: a first mode in which when the movers move in the first direction, the mover is pushed by the stator to deform the movable segment so as to protrude toward the terminal, and the movable segment comes into contact with the first terminal; an intermediate mode in which deformation of the movable segment by the movers is released, and the movable segment is in contact with neither the first terminal nor the second terminal; and a second mode in which when the movers move in the second direction, the mover is pushed by the stator to deform the movable segment so as to protrude toward the terminal, and the movable segment comes into contact with the second terminal.-

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a winding switching device capable of enhancing the reliability of electrical contact between a movable unit and a fixed unit, and a rotating electrical machine drive system including such a winding switching device. A winding switching device switches a connection state of a plurality of windings, and includes a plurality of electrodes to which the plurality of windings are connected; a movable unit that includes a plurality of conductor portions in contact with the plurality of electrodes, and that is driven in a predetermined direction in which the plurality of electrodes are arranged; and a fixed unit including a regulating portion that regulates movement of the movable unit in the predetermined direction; where the connection states of the plurality of windings are switched according to the position of the movable unit; and when the movable unit moves in the predetermined direction, the plurality of conductors are displaced in a direction of moving away from the plurality of electrodes by the regulating portion.

Abstract: A rotating electric machine having high efficiency and high reliability without causing an increase in size and cost is realized. Each of the rectangular wire segment coils has a first region portion and a second region portion connected to the first region portion and formed in the circumferential direction including a bent portion in the circumferential direction of the stator core 10, and a pair of the rectangular wire segment coils adjacent to each other at the coil ends of the plurality of rectangular wire segment coils has a conductive portion to which the first region portion of one of the rectangular wire segment coils and the second region portion of the other of the rectangular wire segment coils are connected. The second region portion has a conductive portion cross-section disposed on the same plane as the end portion cross-section of the first region portion, and the conductive portion cross-section is a cross-section in a direction different from a direction of the coil vertical cross-section of the second region portion. Each of the plurality of layers includes a first layer in which the first region portion appears at an axial end portion and a second layer in which the second region portion appears at an axial end portion when the coil end is viewed in an axial direction of the rotating electric machine.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rotary electric machine that has a simplified structure for cooling and that inhibits the increase in production costs. In the rotary electric machine according to the present invention, the axis of rotation of a rotor shaft 26 is positioned at a prescribed angle with respect to the horizontal axis. Provided are an upper-side flow passage 252 formed on the upper side of a stator core 23a and through which the liquid refrigerant flows, a lower-side flow passage 255 formed on the lower side of the stator core 23a, and a slot flow passage 257 that connects the upper-side flow passage 252 and the lower-side flow passage 255. The upper-side flow passage 252 is formed by a housing 25, an upper end surface of the stator core 23a, and an upper-side flow passage forming body 251 connecting the housing 25 to the upper end surface of the stator core 23a on a gap G side. The slot flow passage 257 is at least partially open at the end face on the gap G side.

Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rotating machine drive system comprising a winding switching device, wherein the rotating machine drive system has a relatively simple configuration, allows wear of electrical contacts during switching and sliding to be minimized, and is highly reliable. The present invention is characterized in comprising a rotating machine having a plurality of windings, an inverter device for operating the rotating machine at variable speed, and a winding switching device for switching connection of the plurality of windings; the winding switching device having winding terminals, a semi-moving element having a short-circuit part that faces the winding terminals and also having a sliding part provided with first protrusions on the surface thereof opposite from the surface having the short-circuit part, and a moving element facing the sliding part of the semi-moving element and having a sliding part provided with second protrusions on the surface facing the sliding part of the semi-moving element; the moving element being made to slide relative to the semi-moving element, whereby the connection between the winding terminals and the short-circuit part is changed and the connection of the plurality of windings is switched.
