摘要: A glass substrate includes a two-dimensional barcode, which is provided on a peripheral region of a major surface of the glass substrate. A side of the two-dimensional barcode is oblique to a nearest side of the glass substrate. The two-dimensional barcode includes a reference line, and is for recording identification information of the glass substrate. If the two-dimensional barcode sustains partial damage at the nearest side of the glass substrate, there is a reasonable likelihood that only part of the side of the two-dimensional barcode will sustain damage. In such case, the risk of damage occurring to the reference line of the two-dimensional barcode is minimized. If the reference line remains intact, then the two-dimensional barcode can still be properly read.

摘要: An exemplary cutting system (1) for a master liquid crystal panel includes a master liquid crystal panel (10) and two charge-coupled devices (12). The master liquid crystal panel includes four corners, and four alignment marks respectively provided at the corners. At least two of the alignment marks at two diagonal corners are different from each other, and the difference are selected from the group consisting of a difference in shape and a difference in distance from a center of the master liquid crystal panel. The charge-coupled devices are positioned adjacent to two adjacent corners of the mother liquid crystal panel at any one time, and are configured to detect and identify the alignment marks at such two adjacent corners. A related method for cutting the master liquid crystal panel is also provided.

摘要: A rate adaptation method for a wireless communication apparatus includes: determining whether to use a first mode or a second mode according to at least one estimation value, where the first mode and the second mode correspond to different values of an overall data rate of the wireless communication apparatus. A wireless communication apparatus for performing wireless communication with rate adaptation includes: a processing circuit; and a wireless receiver and a wireless transmitter, both coupled to the processing circuit. The processing circuit determines at least one estimation value regarding communication quality of the wireless communication apparatus, and further determines whether to use a first mode or a second mode according to the estimation value, where the first mode and the second mode correspond to different values of an overall data rate of the wireless communication apparatus.

摘要: An exemplary packing case (10) for substrates includes a main body (12), at least one buffer (14) and a cover (11). The cover is configured for attaching onto the main body. The main body includes a bottom plate (121) and a plurality of side walls (122) substantially perpendicularly extending from the bottom plate. The bottom plate and the side walls form an accommodating space. An inner surface of at least one of the side walls includes a plurality of first latching members. The at least one first buffer includes a plurality of second latching members. The second latching members and the first latching members of the at least one side wall have complementary shapes such that the at least one first buffer is detachably engagable with the at least one side wall thereby adjusting a capacity of the accommodating space.

摘要: A cassette (1) for holding and transporting substrates includes a chassis (11), a pair of supporting walls (30) facing each other, a pair of first pivot elements (40), and a pair of second pivot elements (42). The first and second pivot elements are pivotally connected to the chassis and supporting walls, respectively. Each of the supporting walls includes a plurality of supporting members (301) protruding inwardly therefrom. The chassis and the supporting walls define a space for accommodating the substrates on the supporting members. A distance between the supporting walls can be easily adjusted by pivoting the pivot elements. Thus the space defined by the chassis and the supporting walls is adjusted accordingly, in order to accommodate substrates of a particular size. The cassette is adaptable for use with substrates of various sizes simply by pivoting the pivot elements.

摘要: A substrate transfer apparatus (100) includes a base (40), first and second cassettes (1, 2), a adjustable cassette (6), and a push unit (50). The adjustable cassette (6) is between the first and second cassettes, and has a pair of side walls (640), a top wall (630) interconnecting the side walls, and a height-adjusting mechanism (63). The base supports the first and second cassettes and the adjustable cassette thereon, and defines a central slide groove (41) therein. The push unit includes a slide portion (550) and an urging portion (500). The slide portion can slide in the central slide groove. The height-adjusting mechanism can adjust a height of the adjustable cassette according to the height of the first cassette and the height of second cassette. The urging portion can push substrates in the first cassette into the adjustable cassette and further into the second cassette.

摘要: An exemplary packing case (20) includes a main body (21) and a plurality of protrusions (213). The main body includes four side walls configured for receiving substrates. The protrusions are formed at inner sides of two opposite side walls of the main body, respectively. The protrusions are separately parallel to each other. Each of the protrusions has a wedge shape and is perpendicular to the two opposite side walls. Each two adjacent protrusions define a groove (215) therebetween. The groove includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is adjacent to the corresponding side wall. A width of the second portion increases along with increasing of a distance far away from the corresponding side wall.
