Abstract: This application discloses a deterministic transmission method, a communication apparatus, and a storage medium, and relates to the communication field. In the method, a radio access network device may generate deterministic transmission capability information of a first switching node, and send the deterministic transmission capability information to a first network element. The first switching node includes the radio access network device and a terminal. Then, the radio access network device may receive a first scheduling policy that is delivered by the first network element based on the deterministic transmission capability information of the first switching node, so that deterministic transmission can be performed according to the first scheduling policy. This reduces a delay variation of a QoS flow carrying a TSN flow in a 5GS, and can avoid a need to select a QoS flow whose delay indicator is excessively high for the TSN flow.

Abstract: A data transmission method and apparatus are described. The method includes sending, by a terminal, a first request message to an SMF, where the first request message is used to request to perform a UPF local broadcast breakout on unicast flow data; and receiving, by the terminal, a response message for the first request message. The first request message is used to request to perform the UPF local broadcast breakout on the unicast flow data, so that a UPF that manages a broadcast session does not forward the received unicast flow data to an AS, but directly performs the broadcast breakout on the received unicast flow data locally. Therefore, a length of a transmission path for the unicast flow data is reduced, and a transmission delay of the unicast flow data that needs to be broadcast in a small range is reduced.

Abstract: The present application discloses, among others, a message protection method performed by user equipment (UE). In one method an authentication and key agreement request message sent by an SGSN is received using a GMM/SM protocol layer of the UE. A first algorithm identifier on the GMM/SM protocol layer of the UE is obtained according to the authentication and key agreement request message, and a first key is generated. A first message authentication code on the GMM/SM protocol layer is verified according to the first key and a first algorithm. If the UE determines that the verification of the first message authentication code succeeds, an authentication and key agreement response message is generated on the GMM/SM protocol layer of the UE according to the first key and the first algorithm. The authentication and key agreement response message is sent to the SGSN by using the GMM/SM protocol layer of the UE.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a communication method of adding a terminal to a multicast group by using a unicast PDU session establishment procedure. The terminal sends, to a mobility management network element, a PDU session establishment request message that includes identification information of a multicast group, where the PDU session establishment request message is used by the terminal to join the multicast group.
