The method includes obtaining, by a master node, a measurement value of a timing difference between a first cell and a second cell, and sending, by the master node, the measurement value of the timing difference and identification information of the second cell to a secondary node, where the first cell is a primary cell corresponding to the master node, the second cell includes a primary secondary cell corresponding to the secondary node or another cell different from the primary secondary cell, and the identification information of the second cell includes a physical cell identifier (PCI) and frequency information of the second cell.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel block (SSB) measurement method and an apparatus. One example method includes that a terminal device receives first information and second information. The first information indicates a time domain position of an SSB sent by a serving cell, and the second information indicates a set of SSBs that the terminal device needs to measure and that are sent by a neighboring cell. The terminal device measures, in a first measurement window based on the first information, the SSB sent by the serving cell. The terminal device measures, in a second measurement window based on the second information, the SSB sent by the neighboring cell.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the application provide a communications method and apparatus. A target cell is determined based on measurement results of N measured cells and a preset value when there is a first cell satisfying a report trigger condition. A measurement result of the target cell is sent to a base station. A terminal may not only send the measurement result of the cell satisfying the trigger condition to the base station, but also send a measurement result of another cell to the base station. In this way, a quantity of cells that can be selected during determining of handover can be increased, to help the base station select a suitable cell for the terminal.

    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, to determine a DRX cycle. The method includes: receiving data in an active time of a current DRX cycle; when a DRX inactivity timer of the current DRX cycle expires, determining a type of a next DRX cycle depending on whether at least some data received in the active time is associated with a DRX short cycle, where if the at least some data is not associated with a DRX short cycle, the next DRX cycle is a DRX long cycle, or the type of the next DRX cycle is the same as that of a DRX cycle previous to the current DRX cycle. When the DRX inactivity timer expires, the type of the next DRX cycle can be more flexibly determined, and may not necessarily be a DRX short cycle. This can save power of a device to some extent.
