A realtime video display method of mixed signals applies to a monitoring system. The monitoring system has a monitoring host connected to a plurality of digital monitoring devices and a plurality of analog monitoring devices. In this method, digital video data from an Internet/LAN/WAN and analog video data from a transmission interface are first received. Next, a data fetch server is used to collect the video data for processing and then output the processed image data to a data mixer. The data mixer then merges the digital video data and the analog video data into a signal mixing different data sources. The digital video data and the analog video data can thus be displayed at a browse terminal in real time. Therefore, signals of different types can be integrated for realtime display on the same management screen to effectively exploit a real benefit of security management.

A dipole source for borehole acoustic logging includes a cylindrical shell, a center beam coupled to the cylindrical shell, a movable projector inside the cylindrical shell to impact the center beam, and a cavity acoustically insulating the interior of the cylindrical shell from the exterior of the cylindrical shell. An acoustic logging tool for making measurements of a substrate surrounding a borehole with a body insertable in the borehole is also provided. The body includes an acoustic detector and a dipole source as above, along the axial length. The acoustic logging tool may include a control unit to process data collected from the acoustic detector and obtain information about the substrate surrounding the borehole.

A rotational driveshaft coupler that converts a rotating shaft motion into two orthogonal oscillations and at the opposite side of this coupler, a third oscillator converts the oscillations back to a rotational motion. At least one slip free seal can be constructed from the coupler to its housing to separate the space occupied by the output shaft from the space occupied by the input shaft. Each of the three oscillating motions can be guided by bearings, gears and tracks to reduce frictions and heat generation. Permanent magnet pairs are used to prevent bifurcation and force the output shaft to follow the rotation direction of the input shaft. Unlike in magnetic coupling, the torque transmission here is direct.

An acoustic wave can be acquired at a detector, where the acoustic wave propagates from a target to the detector. The target may be acoustically illuminated to provide the acoustic wave. A signal from the detector in response to acquiring the acoustic wave can be processed in a model such that the processing implements a synthetic acoustic lens to generate an image of the target. The tool includes a volume containing a reference fluid having a first density, and a marker within the fluid having a different density. The position of the marker within volume containing the reference fluid is senses, and orientation information of the measurement tool is determined based at least in part on combining information relating to the position of the marker with prior recorded data representing orientation measurements made while the section of the borehole was not yet cased.

A method and apparatus using steam to sterilize liquid dispensers. This is achieved by injecting steam into a drained dispenser machine equipped with a cover having a safety valve that matches the top of the dispenser to provide sealing. The steam is generated by a steam generator physically integrated with the new liquid dispenser machine. The steam circulates through the fluid compartment of the liquid dispenser and continues through its conduits and exits at the taps which are held open by a stepped boss. The sanitizing period can be adjusted and controlled. After sterilizing the machine, the cap of the dispenser is removed and its taps are released in order to return the machine back to its normal operation.

A gray-scale driving method for a bi-stable chiral nematic liquid crystal display is provided. The present method divides an updated picture into a first-section frame, a second-section frame and a third-section frame. The present invented method includes to drive the first-section frame into a predetermined initial state, and drive the second-section frame by line-by-line scanning by writing updated gray-scale frame data into the pixels, then pull the third-section frame to zero voltage for the pixels such that bi-stable chiral nematic liquid crystal relaxes to stable states corresponding to the write-in gray-scale frame data. Meanwhile, a purpose to maintain the updated picture without any consumption of power is obtained. The total power consumption can be significantly reduced.
