In the reflective region, an alignment layer, a common electrode, and a reflective pixel electrode are on a same side of the liquid crystal layer. The alignment layer of the reflective region has an alignment direction that is different from that of the alignment layer of the transmissive region.

A Sophorae Fructus extract containing a high concentration of aglycon-type isoflavone having an excellent bio-absorbability can be prepared by the method of the present invention.
