    摘要: A multimedia service providing method in a telecommunication network is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes (a) communicating, at a message providing server, data with first and second mobile terminals in an Internet protocol (IP) based mobile communication network, (b) receiving, at a message providing server, a short message from the first mobile terminal, wherein the short message indicates that the first mobile terminal requests a multimedia service from the second mobile terminal, and wherein the short message comprises a predetermined header field to determine whether the message requests the multimedia service and (c) transmitting the short message to the second mobile terminal, wherein the transmitted short message is configured to control the second mobile terminal to set a packet data protocol (PDP) session, for performing the multimedia service, with the first mobile terminal.

    摘要: A method for electrically connecting a thin film electrode to a connecting terminal on an active matrix in the manufacture of a thin film actuated mirror is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: forming a thin film sacrificial layer having an empty cavity on top of the active matrix; forming an elastic, a second thin film and a thin film electrodisplacive layers, successively, on top of the thin film sacrificial layer including the empty cavity; forming a contact hole extending from top of the thin film electrodisplacive layer to top of the connecting terminal; forming a first thin film layer on top of the thin film electrodisplacive layer including the contact hole; patterning the first thin film, the thin film electrodisplacive, the second thin film and the elastic layers, respectively; and removing the thin film sacrificial layer, thereby forming the thin film actuated mirror.

    摘要: An inventive array of thin film actuated mirrors is provided with an active matrix having an array of switching devices, an array of actuating structures and an array of mirrors, wherein each of the actuating structures is cantilevered on the active matrix, and each of the switching devices is positioned on the active matrix beside the position at which each of the actuating structures is cantilevered. In the array, during the operation of the array, since each of the mirrors is connected to the actuating structure through a recessed portion thereof, the mirror stays planar, allowing more accurate and effective reflection of the light beams, which will, in turn, enhance the overall optical efficiency of the array. Furthermore, since the active matrix has the array of switching devices is located beside each of the actuating structures, not directly therebelow, an electrical connection between each of the switching devices and the actuating structure can be made after all of the high temperature processes in the manufacture of the array have been completely, thereby minimizing the effects thereof.

Each of the actuating structures is provided with a first thin film electrode, a thin film electrodisplacive member, a second thin film electrode, an elastic member and a first and a second conduits. Since the first thin film electrode in the first part is electrically connected individually to the bias source, and the second thin film electrode is electrically connected individually to one of the transistor, each of the actuating structures is electrically disconnected with other actuating structures in the same row or column in the array, thereby allowing the bias signal and the electric signal to be applied individually to each of the thin film actuated mirrors.

    摘要: An array of M.times.N thin film actuated mirrors for use in an optical projection system comprises an active matrix, an array of M.times.N supporting members, and an array of M.times.N thin film actuating structures. Each of the actuating structures includes a first, an electrodisplacive, a second layers and an elastic layer, wherein the first and the seconds layers are placed on top and bottom of the electrodisplacive layer, and the elastic layer is placed on bottom of the second layer. The first layer is divided into a proximal and a distal ends. In each of the actuated mirrors, the proximal end of the first layer is connected to a conduction line pattern to thereby act as a bias electrode and the second layer is connected electrically to one of the transistors through a conduit placed in each of the supporting members to thereby act as a signal electrode. The distal end of the first layer functions as a mirror for reflecting the light beam.

    摘要: The present invention relates to improved methods for fabricating and mounting an array of M.times.N mirrors on an array of M.times.N electrodisplacive actuators to thereby form an array of M.times.N electrodisplacive actuated mirrors for use in an optical projection system, wherein M and N are integers. In accordance with the present invention, there are provided two methods, one of the methods comprising the steps of: forming a separation layer on a substrate; providing a supporting layer on the separation layer; bonding the array of M.times.N actuators on the supporting layer; removing the separation layer so as to disengage the substrate; patterning the supporting layer into an array of M.times.N supporting members; and forming a light reflecting metallic layer on top of each of the supporting members to thereby provided the array of M.times.N electrodisplacive actuated mirrors. The other method comprises the steps of: forming a separation layer on a substrate; providing a reflection layer on top of the substrate; creating an array of M.times.N reflectors on the separation layer from the reflection layer formed thereon; providing a supporting layer; patterning the supporting layer into M.times.N disjointed supporting members; bonding the array of M.times.N actuators; and removing the separation layer to thereby provide the array of M.times.N electrodisplacive actuated mirrors.

Each of the actuating structures includes a first thin film electrode, a thin film electrodisplacive member, a second thin film electrode, an elastic member, a conduit and an insulating member. In the array, the insulating member is made of an insulating material, e.g., oxide or nitride, and is formed between top of the conduit and bottom of the first thin film electrode, thereby reducing the possibility of an electrical contact forming between the first and the second thin film electrodes.

    摘要: An array of M.times.N thin film actuated mirrors for use in an optical projection system comprises an active matrix, an array of M.times.N thin film actuating structures, each of the thin film actuating structures being provided with a first and a second actuating parts, each of the first and second actuating parts including at least a thin film layer of a motion-inducing material, a pair of electrodes, each of the electrodes being provided on top and bottom of the motion-inducing thin film layer, an array of M.times.N supporting members, each of the supporting members being used for holding each of the actuating structures in place by cantilevering each of the actuating structures and also for electrically connecting each of the actuating structures and the active matrix, and an array of M.times.N mirror layers for reflecting light beams, each of the mirror layers further including a first side, a second opposing side and a center portion located therebetween, wherein the first side and the second opposited side of each of the mirror layers are secured on top of the first and second actuating parts of each of the actuating structures, respectively, such that when the first and second actuating parts in each of the actuating structures deform in response to an electrical signal applied between the first and second electrodes, the center portion of the corresponding mirror layer tilts while remaining planar, thereby allowing all of the center portion to reflect the light beams, resulting in an increased optical efficiency.

    摘要: The thin film AMA has a substrate, an actuator, a common line, and a reflecting member. The substrate has an electrical wiring and a connecting terminal and the actuator has a supporting layer, a bottom electrode, a top electrode, and an active layer. The common line is formed on a portion of actuator and is connected to top electrode. The electrical wiring and connecting terminal may not be damaged because actuator is formed on a portion of substrate adjacent to the portion where electrical wiring and connecting terminal are formed. The voltage drop of a second signal can be minimized because common line is formed thickly on a portion of actuator, so a sufficient second signal is applied to top electrode. The flatness of reflecting member may be enhanced because reflecting member is formed on a second sacrificial layer.
