Abstract: Colouration of textile materials capable of forming hydrogen bonds with amines, especially cellulosic or cellulose/polyester union materials, by impregnating the material with a watersoluble or water-dispersible compound of molecular weight above 600 containing amino or imino groups, especially a poly(ethylene imine), and subsequently contacting the material with a fibrereactive dye; or a modification of this process wherein the material is padded or printed with a padding solution or printing paste containing a water-in-oil-in-water emulsion having the dyestuff and the compound containing amino or imino groups dissolved or dispersed in separate aqueous phases.
