    Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive configuration information that indicates associated random access channel occasions (ROs). for example, a first RO and a second RO. The WTRU may determine a feature combination associated with the WTRU. The WTRU may determine a set of preambles based on the feature combination associated with the WTRU. The set of preambles may include multiple subsets of preambles, for example, a first subset of preambles associated with the first RO of the associated ROs and a second subset of preambles associated with the second RO of the associated ROs. The WTRU may transmit a first preamble of the first subset of preambles on the first RO of the plurality of associated ROs and a second preamble of the second subset of preambles on the second RO of the plurality of associated ROs.

    Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may identify a plurality of candidate satellite constellations. The WTRU may determine an elevation angle and/or an orbit associated with each of the plurality of candidate satellite constellations. The WTRU may select a satellite constellation from the plurality of candidate constellations for sell selection. The WTRU may identify a plurality of candidate beams associated with the selected satellite constellation. The WTRU may determine an RSRP/RSRQ for each of the plurality of candidate beams. The WTRU may determine a weighted ranking of the plurality of candidate beams. The WTRU may determine the weighted ranking using the determined RSRP/RSRQ, prevailing load intensities, elevation angle, dwelling duration, link switch probability, and/or a quality of service (QoS). The WTRU may select a beam from the plurality of candidate beams for cell selection. The WTRU may select the beam based on the weighted ranking.

    Abstract: A WTRU operating in an inactive state may be associated with a first cell. The WTRU may be configured to receive configuration information for a time period associated with small data transmission failure detection and a search space associated with small data transmission. The WTRU may be configured to send a first small data transmission and start the time period. The WTRU may be configured to monitor for a downlink transmission in the search space during the time period. If a condition for cell reselection is satisfied during the time period or the restarted time period, the WTRU may be configured to suspend a data radio bearer (DRB) associated with small data transmission, select a second cell, perform a random access procedure associated with the second cell, and send a small data transmission. The random access procedure may include sending a request to resume a radio resource control (RRC) connection.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for receiving a broadcast configuration indicating when a change in a RAN function termination occurs is provided, for example, by a timer value. The broadcast configuration may be received from a satellite, blimp or other moving transmitter. A dedicated configuration may also be received from the serving cell. The dedicated configuration may include a preamble, a transient configuration and an indication of a layer 2 behavior. If a WTRU detects a change in RAN function termination, the WTRU may suspend any uplink data transmissions, apply the transient configuration and transmit the preamble to a target cell. The WTRU may synchronize with the target cell and apply the layer 2 behavior.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are described for QoS procedures supporting verticals in wireless systems. Data flows may combine or remap for QoS remapping conditions or state transitions. Data flow remapping may be indicated by triggering a B SR/SR or by multiplexing in the PDU. A non-default set of LCP parameters may be applied for an LCH after a QoS state transition, QoS remapping trigger, or LCP parameter suspension/override. A WTRU may operate according to a QoS adaptation state corresponding to a set of parameter values for a group of data flows, radio bearers, and/or logical channels. A WTRU may transition between QoS adaptation states. An RRC configuration and/or a MAC function may adapt to changing QoS requirement(s). QoS requirement(s) may adapt to changing MAC functions. QoS may be associated with survival time(s). QoS may adapt to higher layer indications. Packet forwarding may adapt to QFI in DL for QoS state changes.

    Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine a first set of beams and a second set of beams, that a respective quality of each beam in the first set of beams is less than a predetermined quality value, and that a beam that is in the second set of beams and not in the first set of beams has a quality that is equal to or greater than the predetermined quality value. The WTRU may select the beam that is in the second set of beams and not in the first set of beams and whose quality is equal to or greater than the predetermined quality value, for a BFR and send a message that indicates the selected beam for the BFR to abase station (e.g., a gNodeB). The WTRU may receive a message comprising the selected beam from the gNodeB.
