Abstract: Isomerizing dehydration of feedstock containing a primary alcohol substituted in position 2 by an alkyl group in which the feedstock is heated to the reaction temperature by indirect heat exchange then vaporization by mixing with a diluent effluent, the diluted and vaporized feedstock being dehydrated in at least one dehydration reactor operating in gas phase at an inlet temperature comprised between 250 and 375° C., at a pressure comprised between 0.2 MPa and 1 MPa and at a WHSV comprised between 1 and 18 h−1, in the presence of a catalyst comprising a zeolite having at least one series of channels the opening of which is defined by a ring with 8 oxygen atoms (8MR) and a binder, the catalyst being coked beforehand in-situ or ex-situ, so as to produce a dehydration effluent, the latter being treated and separated into a diluent effluent, an alkenes effluent and a heavy hydrocarbons effluent.

Abstract: Production of a mixture of ethylene and propylene from a mixture containing ethanol and isopropanol and having a water content between 30 and 75 wt. % is obtained by a process comprising: a) contacting the mixture in a dehydration unit with a dehydration catalyst chosen from: an alumina (A) having a BET specific surface area between 200 and 350 m2/g, a mean mesopore diameter between 5 and 15 nm, a sodium content of less than 50 ppm by weight, and a sulphur content of less than 40 ppm by weight; and an alumina (B) having a BET specific surface area between 130 and 180 m2/g, a mean mesopore diameter between 14 and 20 nm, a sodium content between 300 and 600 ppm by weight, and a sulphur content between 800 and 1300 ppm by weight; b) withdrawing an effluent containing ethylene and propylene from the dehydration unit.

Abstract: A process for the production of middle-distillate hydrocarbon-containing bases from a butanol feedstock, comprising: a) isomerizing dehydration of butanol feedstock; b) separating the water from butylenic effluent; c) purifying the organic liquid effluent from stage b); d) oligomerizing a feedstock that comprises at least a portion of the purified organic effluent from stage c), the entire effluent from stage g), and at least a portion of the light product from stage f); e) oligomerizing the first oligomerization effluent to produce a second oligomerization effluent; f) fractionating the second oligomerization effluent into at least three products: a light product mostly comprising C2 to C4 compounds, an intermediate product mostly comprising C5 to C9 compounds, and a middle distillate product mostly comprising compounds having at least 10 carbon atoms; g) oligomerizing at least a portion of the intermediate product, and h) hydrogenating at least a portion of the middle distillate product.
