Abstract:
A welding system includes components equipped with digital communications circuitry for synchronization and coordination of tasks associated with the welding operation. The tasks may be initiated and terminated independently or in coordination based upon synchronization of this circuitry. Certain of the tasks may be performed by the components in an open-loop manner or in a closed-loop manner based upon feedback of welding parameters. Moreover, certain tasks may be independent of one another, or interdependent although carried out in parallel by the different system component.
Abstract:
A welding-type power system that provides balanced split phase AC power or three phase AC power from a DC power bus that includes a power supply, a DC power bus, inverters, and a balancing circuit. The inverters and the balancing circuit are configured in a half-bridge topology. The balancing circuit is configured to balance a neutral midpoint of the DC power bus. The balanced split phase AC power or three phase AC power is accomplished by actively controlling the neutral midpoint of the DC power bus via the balancing circuit.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for controlling an engine driven power system and/or a welding system from two or more control sources are disclosed. In some examples, multiple control devices or sources are in communication with a central control circuitry of the engine driven power system, and/or a welding system which is capable of managing commands from multiple control sources by prioritizing commands and/or limited the scope of control. In some examples, the central control circuitry controls the multiple control sources to update systems and displays to harmonize commands and/or data that originated at another source.
