    Abstract: A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions to configure a UE for power scaling in uplink data transmissions in a 5G NR and beyond wireless network, and to cause the UE to perform operations including decoding RRC signaling received from a base station. The RRC signaling includes a power scaling factor. The power scaling factor indicates a transmission mode for uplink full power transmission. A linear output power value is determined for a maximum output power associated with the UE. The linear output power value is scaled using the power scaling factor to generate a scaled linear output power value. A PUSCH power control output is determined based on the scaled linear output power value. The operations further include causing the uplink full power transmission of uplink data using the PUSCH. The uplink full power transmission has transmit power based on the PUSCH power control output.

    Abstract: Disclosed embodiments are related to beam management in cellular communication networks, and in particular, provide a new transmission (Tx) beamforming indication based on the flexible Tx beam-forming assignment on the corresponding reference signal configured in a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state for downlink (DL) or spatial relation information in the uplink (UL). The Tx beam-forming on the reference signal of the TCI state configured for the DL physical channel/reference signal can be updated based on reported Tx beam in the UL or using UL measurements from Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) transmission. Similarly, spatial relation information configuration used to indicate Tx beam-forming in the UL, may be also updated based on the reference signal measurements in DL or by suing Downlink Control Information (DCI) based beam indication in a scheduling request indicator (SRI).     Abstract: An apparatus configured to be employed in a user equipment (UE) associated with a new radio (NR) communication system is disclosed. The apparatus comprises one or more processors configured to process a beam reporting configuration signal received from a gNodeB associated therewith. In some embodiments, the beam reporting configuration signal comprises a measurement quantity information on one or more measurement quantities to be reported by the UE to the gNodeB during beam reporting, for a set of beams associated with the gNodeB, wherein the one or more measurement quantities comprises layer 1 signal to interference plus noise ratio (L1-SINR), or both L1-SINR and L1 reference signal receive power (RSRP). In some embodiments, the beam reporting configuration signal further comprises a reference signal information on a reference signal to be utilized by the UE for measuring the one or more measurement quantities for the set of beams associated with the gNodeB.

    Abstract: Various embodiments herein provide techniques for minimum mean-square error interference rejection combining (MMSE-IRC) processing of a received signal, distributed between a baseband unit (BBU) and a remote radio unit (RRU). The RRU may perform uplink receive beamforming (e.g., using maximum ratio combining (MRC)) based on multiple channel measurements (e.g., a set of multiple sounding reference signal (SRS) channel measurements) obtained on respective measurement signals transmitted by a user equipment (UE). The RRU may send the processed signal to the BBU for further processing. The BBU may perform MMSE-IRC based on the processed signal received from the RRU, e.g., using demodulation reference signals (DM-RSs). Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
