Abstract: An apparatus of a base station includes a memory device and processing circuitry operatively coupled to the memory device. The processing circuitry processes a buffer status report (BSR) from a user equipment (UE) indicating an amount of data in a buffer of the UE. The processing circuitry further determines a ratio of WLAN uplink data to be transmitted on a WLAN channel of the UE to long term evolution (LTE) uplink data to be transmitted on a LTE channel. Furthermore, the processing circuitry encodes a protocol data unit (PDU) indicating the amount, wherein the PDU is to be transmitted to the UE.

Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include devices, systems and methods of providing WLAN measurement information from a cellular node to a location server. For example, an apparatus of an eNB may include a network interface configured to receive a request message, the request message including a request from a location server for WLAN measurements corresponding to a UE; and a location processing component configured to trigger the eNB to send a measurement request to at least one measurement provider selected from the group consisting of the UE and at least one WLAN AP, the location processing component configured to receive from the at least one measurement provider WLAN measurement information, which is based at least on a range between the UE and the WLAN AP, the location processing component configured to trigger the eNB to send to the location server a response message including the WLAN measurement information.

Abstract: A mobile communication device may include a first modem configured to transmit and receive radio signals on a cellular wide area radio access, a second modem configured to transmit and receive radio signals on a short range radio access, and a connection management circuit configured to monitor radio access transfers of one or more packet data network connection to generate a transfer history database, determine from the transfer history database if excessive previous transfers of the one or more packet data network connections occur between the cellular wide area radio access and the short range radio access, identify an available transfer of a target packet data network connection of the one or more packet data network connections between the first modem and the second modem, and selectively block the available transfer between the first modem and the second modem based on if excessive previous transfers of the one or more packet data network connections occur between the first modem and the second modem.

Abstract: Connection management techniques for wireless network mobility procedures are described. In one embodiment, for example, an evolved packet core (EPC) node may comprise a processor circuit to receive a notification of a mobility procedure for a user equipment (UE), determine whether to release a local gateway (L-GW)-provided packet data network (PDN) connection of the UE, and in response to a determination that the L-GW-provided PDN connection is to be released, send either a detach request message or a delete session request message to initiate a process for releasing the L-GW-provided PDN connection. Abstract: Apparatuses, systems and methods associated with long term evolution (LTE) and wireless local area network aggregation are disclosed herein. In embodiments, an evolved NodeB (eNB) for requesting feedback from a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) receiver may include radio frequency (RF) circuitry and baseband circuitry coupled with the RF circuitry. The baseband circuitry may identify a packet data unit (PDU) to be transmitted to the PDCP receiver, the PDCP receiver to aggregate a first group of PDUs transmitted via a LTE link and a second group of PDUs transmitted via a wireless local area network (WLAN) link. The baseband circuitry may further embed, within the PDU, a poll request for a status of aggregation by the PDCP receiver and cause the RF circuitry to transmit the PDU embedded with the poll request to the PDCP receiver.

Abstract: Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, an apparatus of user equipment (UE) comprises circuitry to receive data transmissions as packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) packets from a radio bearer via two or more Radio Access Technologies (RATs). One or more PDCP packets are offloaded from a first RAT to a second RAT. The apparatus comprises circuitry to aggregate the received data PDCP packets, and report a status of the PDCP packets to the radio bearer.
