Abstract: The present disclosure describes embedding thermally-resistant flexible cabling within a metal casting during die-casting. A die-casting process may include fixing the thermally-resistant flexible cabling within a die, and die-casting the metal to form a metal casting having the thermally-resistant flexible cabling embedded within the metal casting. In some cases, the thermally-resistant flexible cabling may be utilized for grounding of the metal casting.

Abstract: Adjustable fastener tools are provided for engaging socket heads. The tool includes a support member, multiple engagement fingers, and an adjustment mechanism. The support member has multiple radially-extending tracks, and a central opening, and the fingers are associated with, and slidable along, the radially-extending tracks. The fingers include at radially inner ends jaws with respective contact surfaces for engaging the socket head. The adjustment mechanism resides, at least in part, within the central opening in the support member, and couples to the fingers. The adjustment mechanism includes an actuating member and multiple hinged trusses. A hinged truss of the trusses is hingedly coupled at one end to the actuating member and hingedly coupled at an other end to a respective finger of the engagement fingers. Movement of the actuating member results, via the hinged truss, in slidable movement of the respective finger along its associated radially-extending track.

Abstract: A fully integrated, low maintenance, manually operated beverage container compacting system featuring a free-standing, user powered, enclosed, beverage container compactor and storage receptacle. The compactor includes a self retracting puncture mechanism to release pressure due to air and liquids in sealed containers prior to their compacting. The storage system includes double trap doors with gaskets to create a sealed storage receptacle that reduces odors. A first top trap door includes a rubber gasket to prevent liquids from being expelled out of the compactor; and a bottom trap door is configured for capturing escaped liquids. The bottom trap door is actuated into an open state at an end of a crushing stroke to drop the container into the storage receptacle after captured liquids have drained into a liquid capture container for improved cleanliness. A self reset mechanism renders the system to an initial state for a next user after compacting.
