Abstract:
A foamed biocompatible material for use in tissue repair and a kit for producing same. The kit includes a container having a valve and an inlet, and a tissue-repair composition containing a biocompatible material and a liquid carrier, in which the composition is placed in the inlet of the container and the inside of container has a pressure lower than that of the outside so that, upon opening the valve, the composition is forced into the container by the pressure difference to form a foam inside the container. Also disclosed is a method of preparing a foamed biocompatible material for tissue repair.
Abstract:
A bone repairing kit including a drilling device, a pushing device, a clamping member and a hole saw. An end of a tube body of the drilling device is a knife portion. When the tube body rotates with respect to a femur, a bone column is cut by the knife portion and located in the tube body. The pushing device includes a hollow tube and a push bar. The hollow tube is for receiving the tube body. The push bar is for touching and pushing the bone column in the tube body. The clamping member is for clamping the bone column. The hole saw includes a receiving body and cutting knives. The receiving body has a recess for receiving an end of the bone column. The cutting knives surrounding on an inner wall of the recess are for cutting an edge of the end of the bone column.
Abstract:
A bone plate structure adapted to fix a bone in an affected part is provided. The bone plate structure includes first and second bone plates. The first bone plate has a first stacking portion and a first extending portion and is adapted to be moved onto the bone through a wound of the affected part. The second bone plate has a second stacking portion and a second extending portion and is adapted to be moved onto the bone through the wound. When the first and second bone plates are located on the bone, the second bone plate is adapted to be moved relatively to the first bone plate, such that the first and second stacking portions are stacked with each other and the first and second extending portions are expanded relatively. A surgery device and a method for bone plate implant suitable for the bone plate structure is also provided.
Abstract:
A nerve guide conduit comprising a first open cover, a second open cover and a connecting portion is provided. The first open cover has a first guiding recess, a first terminal surface and a second terminal surface opposite to the first terminal surface. The first guiding recess is extended to the second terminal surface from the first terminal surface. The second open cover has a second guiding recess, a third terminal surface and a fourth terminal surface opposite to the third terminal surface. The second guiding recess is extended to the fourth terminal surface from the third terminal surface. When the first open cover covers the second open cover, the first guiding recess and the second guiding recess together provide a nerve receiving space. The connecting portion connects the first open cover and the second open cover.
Abstract:
An injection device includes a housing, a plunger, and a heating unit. The plunger is slidably arranged within the housing thereby performing a plunging movement therein. The heating unit is disposed within the housing for generating a heat energy inside the housing such that a filling material inside the housing can be soften and be transformed into a movable filling material with viscosity by absorbing the heat energy from the heating unit.

Abstract:
One embodiment provides a method for enzymatic treatment, including the steps of forming a closed space on a local tissue area with a device and infusing an enzyme solution into the closed space for enzymatic treatment. The method according to the embodiment is capable of treating the local tissue area with enzymes for enhancing cell proliferation in the treated tissue area and preventing damage of the adjacent normal tissues. A device and kit used for the method are also provided.

Abstract:
A spinal fixation assembly including a pedicle rod and pedicle screws which secure the pedicle rod to the spine. Each pedicle screw includes a head configured to receive a portion of the pedicle rod, and a threaded portion extending from a first end of the head and configured to engage a vertebra. The pedicle rod is secured to the head by a fastener. The head includes a breakaway region that defines a location in which at least a first portion of the head can be easily separated from the remainder of the head upon application of sufficient force to the first portion.
