Abstract: A user equipment (UE) context migration management method applied to a mobile edge platform for managing a UE context of a mobile communication device is provided. An embodiment of the UE context migration management method includes: receiving at least one migration request for the UE context; calculating a first difference data corresponding to the UE context in response to the at least one migration request, wherein the first difference data represents a difference between the UE contexts obtained in two consecutive UE context retrieving operations corresponding to the at least one migration request; and transmitting the first difference data to the neighboring mobile edge platform to request the neighboring mobile edge platform to perform a migration operation of the UE context based on the first difference data.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a method for assisting an unregistered user device to access private network services and a communication system. The method includes steps as follows. A request to access a private service of a private network is sent by a user device. In response to determining that the user device not registered on the private network wants to access the private service, the user device is assisted to obtain a temporary user profile by a mobile edge computing server through an emergency type attachment procedure. In response to determining that the user device is registered on the private network through the emergency type attachment procedure, a regular attachment procedure is executed by the user device based on the temporary user profile. In response to determining that the user device executes the regular attachment procedure, the mobile edge computing server provides the user device with the private service.

Abstract: A method and a system for accessing private network services are disclosed. A second MEC platform receives a user service authentication process triggered by a first MEC platform based on a service access request issued by user equipment for accessing a second core network. In response to the user service authentication process, the second MEC platform preforms a user transition process to trigger the user equipment to perform an access authentication process of the second core network to verify identity information and radio network information of the user equipment. When the second MEC platform successfully verifies the identity information and the radio network information of the user equipment, the user equipment is allowed to be transited from the first MEC platform to the second MEC platform to access services of the second core network.

Abstract: A Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) system is provided. The MEC system includes a user equipment (UE), an MEC device, and a core network. The MEC device includes a relay User Plane Function (UPF) module, a first UPF module, and a second UPF module. The core network performs a UPF path management corresponding to the UE based on a notification of the MEC device. When the UE attaches to a network, the MEC device establishes an idle session between the UE and the relay UPF module. When the MEC device determines that a service for the UE needs to be switched from the first UPF module to the second UPF module and the second UPF module has not been activated, the MEC device notifies the core network to switch the service for the UE from the first UPF module to the relay UPF module first.

Abstract: A gateway, system and method for multiple radio access technology service are provided. The gateway is between base stations and a core network, including a receiving module, determining module and processing module. The receiving module receives a packet from the base stations or the core network through a tunnel between the base stations and the core network. The determining module determines whether the packet has a virtual IP header. If the packet has a virtual IP header, the processing module deletes the virtual IP header and replaces it with a tunnel header to transmit the packet to the core network through the tunnel by the tunnel header. If the packet has no virtual IP header, the processing module forwards the packet to the core network through the tunnel. The disclosure enhances transmitting and processing performance of the packet when the packet is transmitted through only a single tunnel.
