摘要: Graphene produced by media ball milling has very small particle size, a relatively high surface area and unique aspect ratios. It is uniquely suited to make nano-composites or coating by coating or admixing other particles. Metals or metal oxides can be coated or formed into composites with the high surface area, relatively low aspect ratio graphene. If the added particles are larger than the graphene, they are coated with graphene, and if they are about the same approximate size, a nano-composite forms. The nanocomposites are useful for producing electrodes, especially for battery and supercapacitor applications.

In many cases, these materials may be nanomaterials. Almost all particulate materials, can be handled in this manner. This method has been found to be especially useful for preparing solutions of exfoliated graphene and certain drugs.

摘要: Surrogate document indicator and methods of using same. A surrogate document image encoded on a storage medium as part of a database or repository of images includes a surrogate document image indicator. In example embodiments, images within the system, including surrogate document images are stored in tagged image file format (TIFF) and the TIFF header includes the surrogate document image indicator. When images are retrieved by an application from an archive or a check image management system, each one is programmatically examined to detect the presence of the surrogate document image indicator. If necessary, the image with the indicator is treated as an exception.

摘要: The present invention is directed generally to building tools that are high quality, durable, and in some case lightweight. For example, various tools may made by forming multiple sections into a single integrated piece by, for example, casting the parts using a molding process so as to reduce manufacturing cost and increase the structural durability of the tool. Further, various tools may be made, at least in part, using a material including magnesium to reduce the weight of the tool. Still further, various tools may be made using one or more protective coatings for protecting various metals against corrosion, for example, using a high impact coating such as paint covered with a clear coat of lacquer.
