    摘要: A magnetic sensing apparatus includes a first magnetic transducer separated spatially from a second magnetic transducer and proximate to a target and a direction decoding circuit associated with the first and second magnetic transducers, wherein the direction decoding circuit produces output pulses that provide data indicative of a rotation of the target while rejecting rotational vibration signals associated with the target during a rotational detection of the target utilizing the first and second magnetic transducers without producing erroneous output pulses or missing an excessive number of the output pulses during speed and rotational detection operations thereof.

    摘要: An extended range position sensor system includes a first set of spaced-apart magnets, a first sensor, a second set of spaced-apart magnets, a second sensor, and a processor. The first sensor is associated with and is movable relative to the first set of magnets, and is configured to generate a first sensor output signal in response to relative movement between the first sensor and the first set of magnets. The second sensor is associated with and is movable relative to the second set of magnets, and is configured to generate a second sensor output signal in response to relative movement between the second sensor and the second set of magnets. The processor is coupled to receive the first and second sensor output signals and is configured, in response thereto, to generate a position signal.

    摘要: An integrated circuit magnetoresistive speed and direction sensor generally utilizes an AMR bridge circuit thereby allowing for increased air gap performance as compared to conventional Hall-effect element based sensors. The AMR sensor is capable of sensing ring magnets or bar magnets magnetized with one or more magnet poles along the desired travel. The number of poles of the magnet should be optimized based upon the application design. In order to obtain speed and direction information, two bridge circuits can be placed within proximity (I.e., the exact location and shape of the bridge can be determined based upon the target and desired performance) of each other. The signals of the two bridge circuits can be compared on integrated electronics. The bridges are generally rotated 45 degrees to reduce and/or eliminate offsets, which provide the sensor with a large air gap performance.
