摘要: An automated bag toss game, having a game board surface, with a plurality of holes formed therein. Bags are provided, each containing pellets, at least some of those pellets having magnetic properties. A wire coil is provided for each hole and disposed beneath the game board surface, for sensing the passage of the bag into one of the holes and producing a signal corresponding to that hole. An electronic circuit is provided for receiving the signal and calculating and displaying a score based upon that hole. One embodiment of the electronic circuit includes a portion for receiving the signal from the coil and for ensuring that the signal from the coil was not a false signal, a display for showing the current scores, a display driver portion for controlling the display, and a processor for receiving a signal from the receiving portion corresponding to a predetermined hierarchy of holes in the game board and producing a signal for causing the display driver to show a score corresponding to the hole into which the bag fell. This embodiment is based on the coils not being energized, and the bags containing magnetic pellets. A second embodiment includes all of the above except for a different circuit portion for receiving the signal. This second embodiment is based on the coils being continually energized with a selected frequency signal, and the bags containing ferromagnetic pellets.

摘要: A direct current arc fault circuit interrupter includes separable contacts and a trip circuit to trip open the contacts. The trip circuit includes a number of alternating current sensors structured to sense a current flowing through the separable contacts, a number of filter circuits cooperating with the AC current sensors to output a number of AC signals, a number of peak detectors cooperating with the filter circuits to output a number of peak current signals, and a processor cooperating with at least the peak detectors. The processor inputs the number of peak current signals as a plurality of peak current signals or inputs the number of peak current signals and determines the plurality of peak current signals. The processor also determines if the peak current signals exceed corresponding predetermined thresholds for a predetermined time, and responsively causes the contacts to trip open.

摘要: An evaporative emission tester is used to evaluate the integrity of a vehicle's evaporative emission control system, including determining the system's purge capability. The emission tester performs a purge flow test to determine whether fuel vapor stored in the vehicle's evaporative canister and present in the fuel tank is being drawn into the engine for combustion at a minimum amount. The emission tester also performs a pressure test of the vehicle's evaporative canister purge system, which includes the fuel tank and lines. The emission tester can function as a stand-alone unit or as an integrated product with a host computer.

摘要: A stairway wheelchair lift includes a stationary motor drive unit, a rail assembly extending along the stairway and a mobile platform movable along the rail. A flexible drive member, such as a chain or cable, within the rail assembly, is driven by the motor drive unit and is connected to the mobile platform to move the platform in either direction along the rail. The mobile platform is adapted to support and transport a wheelchair-bound passenger during use, and to fold upwardly out of the way of the stairway when the lift is not in use. An automatically actuated brake mechanism stops further movement of the mobile platform when the speed of the platform relative to the rail exceeds a predetermined threshold, and a plurality of safety sensing switches prevent operation of the lift in the presence of obstructions along the stairway or other unsafe conditions.
