    摘要: The invention provides several embodiments of a system and method of securely distributing and using digital content that protects the content owner's copyrights as well as the content user's right of fair use. Digital content may be any work that can be encoded in digital form, e.g. literature, music, software applications, static images, and video, etc. Various embodiments act by implementing public key infrastructure to encrypt digital content in such a way that only a licensed user may access the content. Embodiments enable licensed users to access the content via multiple playback devices and from various locations, regardless of whether they are connected to a publicly accessible, traditional MAN or WAN.
