    摘要: Perception-based visual quality metrics are used in volume rendering. A perception-based visual quality metric is measured from one or more three-dimensional representations. For example, people tend to notice edges, so a numeric value representing the noticeable edges is calculated. The perception-based metric is used for developing volume renderers, calibrating across different renderers, calibrating across different rendering platforms, determining rendering parameter values as a function of rendering speed, selecting rendering parameter values for a given situation, providing a range of rendering options associated with gradual perception changes, and/or combinations thereof. The perception-based visual quality metric provides a quantifiable representation of importance to the user for a given application, assisting optimization of volume rendering.

    摘要: To handle the transfer of ammunition between a turret bustle magazine and hull magazines of a military tank, a carriage is mounted for horizontal movement between a stow position and a transfer position and for vertical movement between an upper position addressing the bustle magazine and lower positions addressing the hull magazines. An ammunition carrier is mounted to the carriage for rotational motion in a vertical plane driven off the vertical carriage motion, such that the carrier swings around the cannon breech protruding into the turret in assuming reversed end-to-end horizontal orientations when presented to the bustle and hull magazines. Extractor assemblies are axially reciprocated within a carrier tube by a stroke multiplier mechanism to engage and release the base rim of projectile and propellant modules pursuant to transferring modules between the carrier and the hull magazines. Projectile and propellant modules are united while the carrier tube is presented to the bustle magazine.

    摘要: A self converging, widescreen color picture tube system includes a widescreen, in-line color picture tube having a funnel, an electron gun assembly (28) for three in-line electron beams located in a neck at one end of the picture tube, and a faceplate with a viewing screen at the other end. The picture tube has a wide aspect ratio. A self converging widescreen deflection yoke (40) for deflecting the electron beams in the wide aspect ratio picture tube includes horizontal and vertical deflection windings. The yoke (40) is located by an initial flare section of the funnel and positioned along the longitudinal axis of the picture tube to make the tube reference line and the yoke deflection plane substantially coincident. To achieve substantial horizontal astigmatism correction at the extremes of the major axis of the wide viewing screen, the horizontal deflection winding is constructed to have a generally pincushion-shaped horizontal deflection field over the effective length of the field. The field is modified from that required of the horizontal deflection field in a comparable self converging narrowscreen yoke. The modification is made in accordance with the differences in centerscreen slope angles and S-spacing.
