The image forming apparatus includes a communication interface unit that receives printing data, an image forming unit that performs an ordinary printing to form an image on printing paper based on the printing data, a paper supplying unit that provides the printing paper to the image forming unit along with a paper supplying route, a determination unit that determines whether a functional printing may be performed on the paper supplying route in an interval section between sheets of the printing paper, and a controller that controls the image forming unit to perform a functional printing, wherein the ordinary printing is a printing performed on one or more sheets of printing paper, and the functional printing is a printing performed in an interval section between the sheets of printing paper.

摘要： A color alignment adjustment method and apparatus for adjusting the color alignment of a color image forming apparatus by using patterns formed on a middle transfer belt or a photosensitive body of the color image forming apparatus are provided. The color alignment adjustment apparatus includes a sensor which radiates light onto the patterns, detects the amount of light reflected from the patterns, and outputs a signal based on the detection result, a memory which stores pattern information regarding the patterns, a variation detection unit which detects a plurality of portions of the output signal of the sensor that match the pattern information stored in the memory and calculates variations in the locations of a plurality of colors that can be printed by the image forming apparatus based on the locations of the detected portions of the output signal of the sensor and a print location adjustment unit which adjusts the locations of the colors based on the calculated variations.

摘要： An image transfer unit and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus having the image transfer unit are provided. The image transfer unit includes a photosensitive medium on which an electrostatic latent image is formed and a toner image is formed by toner supplied to the electrostatic latent image. A transfer belt circulates around at least a pair of rollers to form a transfer nip with the photosensitive medium. A transfer roller is arranged opposite to the photosensitive medium with respect to the transfer belt and contacts the transfer belt. The transfer roller is located further upstream of a direction in which the transfer belt proceeds than the photosensitive medium.

摘要： A color image forming apparatus for mono color printing and a method thereof are disclosed. The apparatus includes: photoconductors; a charger for charging each of the photoconductors; a development unit for forming a developer image on each of the photoconductors; a transfer unit including an image transfer member for receiving the developer image from each of the photoconductors and a transfer voltage supply member for supplying a transfer bias voltage to the image transfer member; a first cleaning unit for cleaning each of the photoconductors; and a control unit for controlling the photoconductors, charger, development unit and transfer unit in a mono color printing mode to form a developer image on an image area of a selected one of the photoconductors, to transfer the formed developer image to a non-image area of the image transfer member, and to divide the transferred developer image into portions and reverse-transfer the divided portions of the transferred developer image from the image transfer member to remaining photoconductors.

摘要： An image forming apparatus and a method of controlling a development voltage include a photosensitive body, a charger which charges the photosensitive body, a laser scanning unit (LSU) which forms an electrostatic latent image by radiating light onto the photosensitive body, a developing unit which develops the electrostatic latent image by supplying a developing agent to the photosensitive body to form an image, a transfer unit which transfers the developed image onto a sheet of paper, a surface potential measuring unit disposed on the surface of the photosensitive body between the developing unit and the transfer unit to measure a surface potential of the photosensitive body, a comparator which compares the surface potential of the photosensitive body before a development voltage is supplied to the developing unit, with the surface potential of the photosensitive body after the development voltage is supplied to the developing unit, to calculate a deviation, and a controller which sets a new development voltage of the developing unit and controls the developing unit if the deviation is larger than a reference value.
