摘要： Improved methods of cementing in a subterranean zone penetrated by a well bore are provided. The methods are basically comprised of the steps of preparing a foamed cement composition comprised of hydraulic cement, a non-dispersing set retarder, sufficient water to form a slurry, sufficient gas to foam the slurry and a foaming and foam stabilizing surfactant mixture present in an amount sufficient to facilitate the formation of the foam and stabilize the foamed cement composition.

The compositions are basically comprised of a hydraulic cement, sufficient water to form a slurry and an additive for providing improved rheology, fluid loss control and set retardation comprised of carboxymethylhydroxyethylcellulose having in the range of from about 0.62 to about 2.21 moles of hydroxyethyl substitution and in the range of from about 0.44 to about 0.52 degrees of carboxymethyl substitution and a 2% by weight aqueous solution of the carboxymethylhydroxyethylcellulose has a Höppler viscosity in the range of from about 55 mPa.s to about 359 mPa.s.

A foaming and stabilizing additive, that comprises a mixture of an alkali salt of an alkyl ether sulfate surfactant, wherein the alkali salt of the alkyl ether sulfate surfactant comprises a mixture of an alkali salt of a C6-10 alkyl ether sulfate surfactant, and an alkali salt of a C2-4 alkyl ether sulfate surfactant, an alkyl or alkene amidopropyl betaine surfactant, an alkyl or alkene amidopropyl dimethylamine oxide surfactant, sodium chloride, and water, is provided. Also provided are foamed cement compositions that comprise the foaming and stabilizing additive, and associated methods.

摘要： The present invention provides methods and ultra-low density sealing compositions for sealing pipe in well bores penetrating formations which readily fracture at low hydrostatic pressures. A method of the invention basically comprises the steps of providing a hardenable ultra-low density sealing composition comprised of an epoxide containing liquid, a hardening agent, a hardening accelerating agent, a light weight filler and hollow glass michrospheres having a density in the range of from about 5 to 8.5 pounds per gallon, placing the sealing composition in the annulus between the pipe to be sealed and the walls of the well bore and allowing the sealing composition to harden therein.
