摘要: The present invention provides an intervertebral implant for implantation in a treated area of an intervertebral space between vertebral bodies of a spine. The implant includes a spacer portion having an inferior and superior surface, wherein the inferior and superior surfaces each have a contact area capable of engaging with anatomy in the treated area, and the inferior and superior surfaces define a through-hole extending through the spacer body. The present invention further provides screw holes extending from a side portion to the inferior and superior surfaces of the spacer portion and a plate portion rigidly coupled to the spacer portion through a coupling means, wherein the plate portion contains screws holes for receiving screws. A screw back out prevention mechanism adapted on the plate portion to prevents the back out of screws from the screw holes and to secure the spacer portion to the plate portion of the intervertebral implant.

摘要: The present invention provides an intervertebral implant for implantation in a treated area of an intervertebral space between vertebral bodies of a spine. The implant includes a spacer portion having an inferior and superior surface, wherein the inferior and superior surfaces each have a contact area capable of engaging with anatomy in the treated area, and the inferior and superior surfaces define a through-hole extending through the spacer body. The present invention further provides screw holes extending from a side portion to the inferior and superior surfaces of the spacer portion and a plate portion rigidly coupled to the spacer portion through a coupling means, wherein the plate portion contains screws holes for receiving screws. A screw back out prevention mechanism adapted on the plate portion to prevents the back out of screws from the screw holes and to secure the spacer portion to the plate portion of the intervertebral implant.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a spine stabilization system and method for stabilizing the spine. In particular, the present invention is directed to a spinal stabilization system having an occipital plate configured with a central portion and at least two extension portions extending from the central portion. At least two rod receivers are positioned on each one of the at least two extension portions and the at least two rod receivers are adapted and configured to receive at least two elongated rods. At least two locking assemblies are adapted and configured to retain the at least two elongated rods within the at least two rod receivers. The occipital plate further includes a plurality of holes for receiving bone fasteners and includes a slot for receiving each one of the at least two rod receivers, and the rod receivers being capable of translating and rotating within the slots.

摘要: The present invention provides a spine stabilization system having a first bone anchor having a first receiving portion and a second bone anchor having a second receiving portion. The first and second elongated rods are positioned within the first and second receiving portions. The first and second locking caps are configured to retain and capture the first and second elongated rods within the first and second bone anchors. The top connector is configured with a first and a second end, which are provided with elongated openings. The first and second locking caps have a threaded portion for coupling to a first and second locking nut. The locking caps are also provided with at least one flange for coupling to the bone anchor, and a bearing surface spaced apart from the bone anchor, the bearing surface configured to contact the top connector.

摘要: The present invention is a spinal fixation device that includes an occipital rod having a first end and a second end, and a spinal rod extending from a connection housing having a first end and a second end. The first end of the spinal rod is integral with a portion of the connection housing and the connection housing is configured with an elongated opening, a rotating plug, and a locking mechanism. The elongated opening is configured for mating with the first end of the occipital plate and the locking mechanism is adapted to enable the occipital rod to be locked in a fixed position.
