摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide a mechanism for a more efficient carrier search. The object is achieved by a method for sending a signal in a first node. The first node communicates with a second node via radio communication, which radio communication is performed by multi carrier transmission. The first node uses a carrier, being associated with a frequency range. The method comprises the step of transmitting an end-marker signal within or close to the frequency range. The end-marker signal is intended to be received and used by the second node for identifying the frequency range of the used carrier.

摘要: The invention discloses a method (1100) for a cellular wireless access TDD system (100) with a base stations (120, 220) for respective cells (110, 210) in the system, where each cell can accommodate at least a first user terminal (130, 230). The user terminals can receive traffic from their base stations during a down link period, and can transmit traffic to their base stations (120, 220) during an up link period (UL). There is a first guard period (TDu) at the transition from down link to up link, and a second guard period (TUD) at the transition from up link to down link. The method comprises measuring the interference level in a second plurality (110, 210) of cells during part of the time between two consecutive down link periods, and varying the duration of said first and/or second guard period in said second plurality of cells (110, 210) according to the interference level.

摘要: One method for controlling operation of a repeater in radio communication system comprises determination whether operation of a node in the radio communication system benefits from assistance of a repeater and transmitting, from the node in the radio communication system, a radio signal to the repeater being indicative of an order to promptly activate the repeater if the benefit exists. One complementary method for controlling operation of a repeater in radio communication system comprises detection (252), in the repeater, of a radio signal being indicative of an order to activate the repeater. Amplification in the repeater is activated (254) as a response to such a detected radio signal and uplink traffic from a user terminal being located in a vicinity of the repeater and/or downlink traffic to the user terminal is amplified (256). A repeater, a node, a user terminal and a system operating according to the method are presented.

摘要: The present invention increases the interference diversity in systems with the frame structure described above by using frequency hopping sequences that are selected considering characteristics of the channel relating to how the channel varies. According to a first embodiment, the channel characteristics relate to channel coherence time and according to a second embodiment, the channel characteristics relate to channel coherence bandwidth. For channels with long coherence times, the transmission hops back and forth several times during a TTI on the different available frequencies. For channels with wide coherence bandwidths, hopping may be performed between the frequency used by the reference signals and its neighbor frequencies. For channels with both long coherence times and wide coherence bandwidths, a combination may be used.

摘要: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements in a multi-antenna radio communication system, in particular to methods and arrangements for improved multiple HARQ transmission in such systems. While HARQ transmission schemes, as known in the art, only can consider the fact whether or not a transmission attempt has been successful the present invention provides a HARQ retransmission scheme that considers the reception quality for already performed transmissions of a same data packet when selecting a resource allocation for necessary re-transmissions. Resource allocation for retransmissions is based on a pre-defined metric indicating a quality of the reception of the previous transmission attempts. Such a metric can be derived from a quality measure derived in the receiver unit, e.g. a CQI or CSI-based value, or an appropriate measure of the mutual information, e.g. the accumulated conditional mutual information (ACMI).

摘要: In the present invention, in a cellular communication system using frames (20) of communication resources in time and/or frequency domain, the communication resources (22) are divided into at least two regions (24, 26, 28). A first region (24) has a higher reuse in time and/or frequency domain than a second region (26, 28). The first region is a hybrid region (24), in which the communication resources individually are allocable for either uplink or downlink communication on a cell-to-cell basis. The second region is preferably a dedicated region (26), in which all communication resources have either uplink or downlink allocation. A third region (28) is preferably also present, in which all communication resources are allocated in the opposite direction to the second region (26). In preferred embodiments, the actual allocation of the hybrid region (24) is based on the traffic situation in each individual cell.
